Hi all, I have just intalled my pro digi to my gardtec 816 panel. All is sort of well except that every time i set/unset the system it calls me! I have followed instructions in the installation manual, but when i plugged the pro digi onto the board i got some extra menu options which i dont know what do, they are channel r/rep program digi test etc. there is no reference to these in the panel installation manual, is there a seperate manual for the pro digi? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks, Andy

Hi I have just installed a Texecom GSM module onto a Premier 48, I have followed all the installation instructions but get a System Alert saying 'Com 2 Fault' which I am assuming is related to the GSM module not communicating with the Panel, Does anyone know of any common issues when installing these modules? kind regards

Thanks in advance, Andy

Hi there, I have set my front door to entry/exit 1 (zone 1)and hall PIR(zone 2) to guard access. I have programmed landing as Omit 1. When I part-arm 1, I get a return saying Zone 2, Hall Pir not secure. In other words, when I part arm the hall pir is picking my movement up and preventing the setting - even though it is programmed as guard access. Can anyone help me here - as usual I reckon I'm missing something obvious!

Hi: Bought an SD1 + Speech Dialler to add to my system I fitted a few years ago. Looking at the manual theres options for alarm, fire, PA etc with connections A,B,C for each trigger I just need it to send a message when theres an alarm activation, the unit itself has Trig A, Trig B and Trig C So if I just need C for alarm is it just connected to B or bell output in the alarm panel and the 12V and 0V supply, is that it just the 3 connections and 2 for the phone or am i missing something Theres also an Abort connection on the unit beside A, B and C but nothing about it in the manual, "the diagram does'nt match the PCB" On activation the message is sent and the receiver …

I have just attempted to replace the alarm bell in the house as the old box had a failed battery. I have a Countess Alarm panel (circa 1990) made by Racal. The manual shows different connections to the new bell (Reson8). The panel installation manual shows -ST + S- H- - R Please can someone give me some clues to how this relates to the Reson8 connections of STB- TRIG- HOLD OFF- HOLD OFF+ RTN- Many thanks in advance! Hello all, I am trying to lower the cost of a good installation and I would like to run the following past your learned ears (or eyes, as may be the case). Is it likely to be cheaper sourcing the gizmos and PIRs that you want, rather than simply taking the engineers choice or supply? I am rather interested in either the Siemens Sintony60 or the Bosch Abacus Evolution - would one be able to specify an engineer to install these? Are these worth installing in what will essentially be a relatively compact installation (5 or 6 zones max)? Furthermore, following a quote from a reputably engineers, it was suggested to go half wireless due to the woodenfloors upstairs. How…

Hi I have an Optima Plus 2 which was installed many years ago, there has been 3 owners in the house since then and it's still working fine! Anyway the long term plan is to put a Texecom Premier in but until then I'd like to replace an RKP. Are there any current RKP's (Optima or not, preferably nice looking and possibly LCD) that are compatible with the Optima Plus 2? I already have all the manuals and codes and I fully serviced it just after I moved in. Many thanks, ForkHandles

I have installed a Scantonics 9751, the sensors, a door contact, a roller door contact and a PIR, have all been wired up in a Closed Circuit Zone configiration, but all the zone show as fault when leaving the engineers Menu, the Unit it set for the CC not FSL, I have even taken the wires out for the sensors and just put a link between the zone and still the fault shown, is this a fault with the system or am I missing anything? Thx Steve

I put this system in a couple of years ago and of course now wish I'd gone for a Texecom Premier because I would like another couple of zones. I see that the Premier Expanders are for the Premier panel. Are there any expanders out there could be wired to my present panel?
