September 4, 200718 yr comment_177037 I have just attempted to replace the alarm bell in the house as the old box had a failed battery. I have a Countess Alarm panel (circa 1990) made by Racal. The manual shows different connections to the new bell (Reson8). The panel installation manual shows -ST + S- H- - R Please can someone give me some clues to how this relates to the Reson8 connections of STB- TRIG- HOLD OFF- HOLD OFF+ RTN- Many thanks in advance! September 4, 200718 yr comment_177038 STB- = -ST TRIG- = S- HOLD OFF- = - HOLD OFF+ = + RTN- = R although on some you would connect the R to tamper feed at the bell and link RTN to - hold off. that seems to be right to me, not sure what the H- is for.
