March 18, 200620 yr comment_91218 Hi, I have got a Veritas 8 alarm and the alarm went off, despite the system not being set at the time. When inputting the code the internal sounder stopped, but the external box continued to go off for 20 minutes. Even when I put the code in and tried resetting the system the external sounder continued to siren. The "unset" light is now flashing and we cannot set the alarm. The light on the external box is also flashing. Any suggestions as to what the fault may be? Thanks! March 18, 200620 yr comment_91220 Bell fuse, bell tamper or damaged cable. Nothing is foolproof to a sufficiently talented fool. March 18, 200620 yr comment_91233 Not unless you are a competent person , the fuse in the spur may have blown , but you would need to know why.Has your system been maintained ?.If the battery is buggered , this could give similar problems. Regards. March 19, 200620 yr comment_91292 If the unset light is flashing, you have lost power. Internal battery ran low, external unit sounded, and stopped at end of 20 mins controlled by it's own timer. The problem still exists and you have no security, so you need to get an engineer in to investigate and correct your problem Paul Edited March 19, 200620 yr by Alarm Guard Link to comment https://www.thesecurityinstaller.co.uk/community/topic/9808-veritastexecom-problem/#findComment-91292 Share on other sites Share on LinkedIn Share on X Share on Facebook {lang="reddit_text" Share via email Share on Pinterest
