Veritas/texecom Problem

Featured Replies

Hi,

I have got a Veritas 8 alarm and the alarm went off, despite the system not being set at the time.

When inputting the code the internal sounder stopped, but the external box continued to go off for 20 minutes. Even when I put the code in and tried resetting the system the external sounder continued to siren.

The "unset" light is now flashing and we cannot set the alarm. The light on the external box is also flashing.

Any suggestions as to what the fault may be?

Thanks!

Bell fuse, bell tamper or damaged cable.

Nothing is foolproof to a sufficiently talented fool.

Not unless you are a competent person , the fuse in the spur may have blown , but you would need to know why.Has your system been maintained ?.If the battery is buggered , this could give similar problems.

Regards.

If the unset light is flashing, you have lost power.

Internal battery ran low, external unit sounded, and stopped at end of 20 mins controlled by it's own timer.

The problem still exists and you have no security, so you need to get an engineer in to investigate and correct your problem
