Hi, New to this forum so please forgive what may be a simple request. Is it possible to send a message to another forum member?

When the current government came to power they announced they would de-commission cctv all over the country but mainly in London as in their words they said it didn't work and was an infringement on our privacy. They also said it cost to much. After the riots do you think they will chance their minds or even reverse and invest in cctv as they have managed to catch and prosecute loads chavs.

I need some help regarding these panels, 1. Menvier M2000 panel i am unable to get the output working on DSC GS3125-5 GSM Module, I have already tried it with the Installation guide but unsuccessful.... can anyone be able to help me with this. on GS-3125-k i have connected the T1 output which is NC with a 5.6k resistor and connected to a zone with 24hrs alarm but it is not sending alarm. 2. Satel Integra 64 panel i got the Satel GSM-4 output to work as Tamper on the zone, everything is working except the battery alarm.... please help me with these.... thnx

Hey I've got an Optima xl6 alarm fitted in my house and haven't used it in ages due to a dog having run of the house. Now the dog is gone and we want to start setting the alarm again but we've lost the code. Its a nightmare as we cant set the alarm any more just wondering what we can do to get it fixed ourselves or if were going to have to get someone out?? Carl

Morning All, Just a quick question for you all if you have time to answer it. Apart from 'word and mouth' which forms of advertising would you say are effective for the money you pay? We have had 10,000 leaflets made up & to be brutally honest their not doing so well, im through 4,000ish and only had 1 query. We have also been in local magazines but again its been seen but quite slow, on our leaflets we show prices of systems which we are not affraid to show but i just thought if you had any suggestions id be happy to hear them. Hi all, a quick question - are the original (LED) RKPs provided with an Accenta 8 compatible with the new G4. I've noticed that whilst an LED RKP is provided with the G4 it's layout is slightly different from the original Accenta one. Many thanks.

Hello, Please forgive me upfront for my lack of knowledge in the area of residential alarms. I moved into a house that has a Rokonet ProSys alarm installed. I want to change a Family name that is programmed into the alarm as a System label (i.e. "Basso") to read my family name (i.e., "Smith"). From the documentation I have read online, it appears that this would have been set up by the installer through the Installer Programming Menu. The problem is, I don't have access to the family I purchased the house from and have no idea who installed the alarm. I have tried accessing this area using the default Installer Codes (which I found online), however, this does not work a…

Hi, I have a newlec nl5702n fire alarm system and have recently had a dector go faulty (Menvier MID710) where it has been triggering the alarm. I have tried it in another location with the same problem moving with it. My question is whether I can use any Menvier 700 series dector in the base unit for the dector as I have or can get hold off a MDP 720. Thanks for anyone who can help, Regards Martyn

I need to be able to part set my alarm and turn off certain zones as I have cat. I have read the manual and worked out how to do this the only problem is I dont know which area correcspond with each zone. How do I find this out when I do the test I can see that it says front door or dining room but how do I find out which Zone this relates to?

hi all, hope your all well? just after your ideas about 12V smoke alarms? if you was doing a new build would you use these 12V smoke alarms with a good alarm panel with sounders around the building asigned to work as fire or with you stick with the mains interlinked? where do you stand with the building regs with using the 12V alarms? any ideas?

A while back a very high profile customer wanted us to check his alarm just before he went away for a week. He had had a fault several days before which was due to a low GSM. when this happened to me. I arrived on site and the Premier panel had an ATS path fault. Polled the gsm both lines where fine, still showed ATS path fault Technical recommended a powerdown/up of the system. This did not clear the ATS fault. Then I turned off the ATS monitoring completely, no change so i rebooted no change. They then instructed me to disable the com300 in the com port set up as we were not using one, and reboot. No luck. Recently moved into our new house and its fitted with a Gardtec 800 panel. Unfortunatly the seller did not know the alarm codes because he inherited the house after his mother passed away. I guess the easy option would be to just remove it and fit something else but before I go that route is the engineers reset and programming sequence the same as the Gardtec 595? Just a thought because I fitted one of these last year to my industrial unit and have all the documentation for it. Thanks Jack
