Hello, I have a Euro 46 V10 panel installed with a DIGI-LAN which has been place for quite a while now. After having some building work done and having all the smoke alarms swapped out I decided to use Aico’s Relay Base to feed an input on the panel in order to notify the mobile app of a fire. I would like the Fire input to not activate the Siren or internal sounder (if you’re inside you can hear all the smokes go off anyway!), but from what I understand from the manual, the Siren will always go off. The minimum on time for it in timers is ‘1’ not ‘0’. In the meantime I’ve assigned the input as ‘Silent HU’ which does exactly what I …

  2. Hi, I have a new build house with a Pyronix Enforcer alarm installed but the regular Master Manager Mode (accessed via the D key) does not give me any options to add or edit users - that option seems to have been removed. I have some Pyronix key fobs already working on the system, but I wanted to add another one (as one was damaged)but don't know how to do that if the 'add/edit user' option is unavailable. I also have access to the Engineer code and can access the engineer menu, but can also not find any option there to 'add/edit users'. The company that installed the system originally charges a £95 call out fee that i would prefer to avoid if this is easy to handle mysel…

It is driving me and the family nuts! Any ideas to resolve the problem?

Hi all, I'm looking for some advice regarding upgrading my current Honeywell alarm system. The current system is wired with 4 pir sensors and two door contacts. I would ideally like a system which has app / mobile phone control / alerts. I have previously installed a couple of wireless DIY systems but would like to keep a wired system. However if there is a highly rated wireless system I'd consider that. I have read good things about the Enforcer v10 but the yearly cloud charge has put me off. Can anyone recommend a good system which may be suitable? I am happy to get a professional fitter if needed.

Hello I help look after an alarm system in a community hall. This has a euro meridian system with a dialler module which sends a text to a couple of nominated numbers if the alarm is triggered. The alarm dials out to what I understand is a message centre. The problem is that we have recently changed our telecoms supplier and I am now seeing a 'Data Comms Error' which suggests that the alarm is unable to contact the messaging centre. I attempted to call this number from my home phone which give a number unobtainable tone. However if I call the access number from my mobile the phone answers and I hear a 'carrier'. It would seem that the access number has been bloc…

  10. Hi, I have recently bougt honewell flex 50 c006-s-c1 v3.37 , second hand and mk8 kepad , system starts ok , but ? need to find a user code to enter into system. Is there a way to factory reset the pcb or keypad with hardware jumpers even ? Is the code stored on pcb itself or in the keypad? When it starts it is comunicating with keypad, configuring please wait- and then it shows time date and ADT name at the top. Tried few known ADT codes without luck. Beeps every other sec. Red LED flashed every other sec on the pcb a well. Is the big aluminium radiator in the middle of PCB a TAMPER ? Does it need to touch the boards? i…

  11. Had a Visonic Powermax Complete alarm system fitted back in 2014. This came with the MCS-740 wireless siren, but finding that the battery only lasts a maximum of 12 months and it is becoming expensive to replace every year.Wondering if it is the distance of the alarm panel from the siren or whether it is the 20 inch walls between the two that is causing the quick depletion of the battery?Thinking whether it would be worthwhile to go for a mains powered siren that would be compatible with the Powermax? I understand that there is a Visonic expander module that clips into the main alarm box for the cost of about £18, but what siren is compatible with it? Pictured…

Hi, I hope you can help. I need to replace my front door and there is currently an alarm sensor stuck to the frame and door. I never use the alarm, so I would like to remove the sensors and connection block, without setting the alarm off permanently. I have 6 wires going into the connector, black, red, blue, yellow, green & white. only the first 4 then go up to the door sensor. Can I just remove the sensor and 4 wires or do I have to join any together? Ideally I would like to remove the connector box altogether. perhaps chopping the 6 wires. The alarm is a texecom veritas R8. Many thanks, Chris

Hey guys So i bite the bullet and installed a pyronix enforcer v10 which seems pretty decent so far. A few things im struggling with which i hope some one can help me out. ive got 4 pirs. ive set the front door to be an entry route and also the kitchen. When setting the alarm and walk in the house through the front door (havent tried the kitchen) when the pir picks you up it automatically sets the alarm off rather than waiting the entry time before setting off. Also ive tried to set the bell delay just incase of any false alarms but again this just goes off straight away. Any one know where im going wrong here ? Thanks

My parents got a gardtec 300 series alarm fitted almost 30 years ago. My dad rewired it about 15 years ago. They recently had a decorator in and since then have been getting the tamper light flashing and are unable to use the alarm system. It's never been maintained properly, never had batteries replaced etc. I'm thinking they need to do a total overhaul and perhaps get someone in to revamp the whole system but my parents being pensioners now don't want to go to that expense unless they have to. Just wondering if there is a compatible panel replacement out there that would use existing wiring as all wires etc run under floor boards etc. The…

Hi, new member, unsurprisingly with a query. I've acquired a Vista Vips18 ptz cctv camera, complete with ir illuminators, hoping to get it working to some extent, and fitting in on a mate's farm which will hopefully assist him to catch whoever keeps breaking in and running off with his kit. The camera's obviously quite old and was saved from going for scrap by the guy I bought it from, so he had no info on it, other than it was removed when an updated system was installed, so it hopefully works. I've looked fairly extensively online for info on the camera, but it seems to be very scarce, particularly when it comes to connecting it up. …
