Hello. I have two use cases for the SC-W contact/shock sensor. 1. Using shock sensor and magnetic sensor on my skylights to alarm when skylights are open or attempted break-in. My understanding is that the dip switches are: M - ON, S - On, T1 - Off, T2 - Off. 2. Using the inputs on the SC-W to connect my normally closed perspex burglar bars which essential have a wire running through them to determine if it's been cut. I imaging that one end of the wire goes to T1 terminal and the other to COM. Then dip switches are: M - Off, S - Off, T1 - On, T2 - Off. Then I'm also not sure what the correct mode would be, Hybrid/Auto? etc... …

Hello. First time poster here. I'm getting annoyed with installers never doing exactly what I want, so trying to learn to do this myself. I have a new QD-W indoor ricochet PIR. I followed this video to add it: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vMFKPf77VVM It seems to have gone well as I have been able to see the following: - A tamper alarm for the zone when I was busy installing the PIR - When doing a walk test for area 1 the zone is picked up when I walk through it. Due to the location of this zone it is omitted from all part arms and should only be armed when I do a full arm on area 1. I tried setting my alarm now and walking into th…

Hello I am wondering if someone could give me some pointers on the settings. My friend has just taken over a workshop with a 9800 alarm we had to do a chip reset due to a crash when there power failed. I have got it working but having trouble setting the entry settings. It goes off as soon as you walk in or now got it set so you have to put entry code in twice or it goes mad after a bit. I can not get the panel to give the worning when you walk through the door. I am wondering if any one could help thanks chris

Good morning all, We bought an ADT alarm (monitored system ) a few years ago and were told at the time by the salesman that it would be free to use our equipments as bell only alarm once the 18 months monitoring contract expires... Since we discovered that ADT are advising that they need to send an engineer (and charge quite a fortune for it!) to modify the system to be use as stand alone . I guess it just need to tell the alarm to stop trying to reach ADT network... Would any of you please know how to modify an ADT alarm to be used as a stand alone system ? Currently we can see the error message " not ready trbl. gsm net fail" and we are unable to set up…

Hi, I have a ADT Visonic powermaster 30 wireless system, That has a trouble warning. I have accessed the control panel (this is a visonic control panel without a keypad) using Alarm Install and can see the system trouble warning is listed as GSM NET FAIL. I am unable to clear the error as the System is in a not ready state due to the warning. If I reboot the system, the error clears temporarily but then returns. Can anyone help how to clear this error, the manual does not help. Thanks

My system is current showing a system alert Battery Fault Zone 13. I don't have anything set for Zone 13, I'm only using zones 9-12. Is there a way of checking which fault this is as I'm presuming it isn't a problem with the main console as this wouldn't be set to a zone? Much appreciated!

Hello All, I've done some searching around this morning on this forum and Google but I haven't been able to find the answer to my question. Long story short, my ADT contract was cancelled as I received poor customer services when dealing with an service and they tried to charge me for the visit despite paying a monthly service fee and monitoring fee. I've recently taken control of the system myself, I have all the codes to perform all the actions that an ADT engineer would do be able to do consulting the Visonic Installation manual pending on knowledge. I have the alarm system also setup on a Visonic PowerManager that I'm paying a yearly fee throu…

  9. Hi all I had an ADT smart home system installed but has been out of contract for about a year now (about 3.5-4 years in age). Has been working fine for all this time until tonight it will not let me arm the alarm. We have the PM 360 control unit which is plugged in upstairs and have a Visonic KP-141 PG2 handset/keypad that we usually set the alarm from. When we try to set the alarm it fails and when pressing the i button it goes yellow which the back of the keypad says is “trouble/memory”. As the subscription ended we lost access to ADT’s app so i have no idea how to find out more info and dont want to entertain any of their charges WHat are my opt…

Hi, could anyone help me wiring this bellbox to my alarm panel. The panel is an MDT Avanti and the bell box is an AZ tech, I have both wiring diagrams (see below) but the markings dont match up and while I could make an educated guess a more practised eye or two would be really helpful. Cheers James

Hi all, New to the alarm game. I've recently had extensive work done at my house and took the opportunity to put alarm cables at all windows and external doors and for a couple for PIRs. Purchased a used flex 50 from ebay. I've powered it up and seems to be showing the right signs of working properly (led on after 30 secs then flashing every 1.5 secs). I also have a mk8 prox keypad arriving soon. Is there anything I can do to check the keypad is functioning ok so I know if I need to return it? Also, any recommendations for PIRs (have no pet at the moment but might in the future)? Also need an external sounder (also have an alarm cable for this).…

Hello everyone. I'm wondering if there is anyone that could point me in the right direction on how to wire my alarm system up. I'll tell you what I have and what i want to re-install. (it will be a few things less than the original setup) Long story short, i use to own a plumber shop and recently closed it down. However, i did manage to pay of the alarmsystem and took it with me. I now wish to install this at home (250sqm house) but in the heat of moving out from the shop premises I never marked the cables up befor cutting them. The things I have today (and had installed in the shop is: 1 x Main unit Honeywell FX100 C007-L-SD V3.19 (wi…
