My HKC10W70 panel activated at 2.30 am and sent me three SMS messages. The first was the the alarm zone activated, the next was "alarm gross" and the third told me I had unset the alarm. What does "alarm gross" mean. I don't think I've ever seen that before on alarm activation. The cause of the alarm activating was a contact opening. Usually I have lots of trouble with these sticking on windows I never open rather than opening spontaneously, even if I replace with new ones.

  2. HI All, I have purchased a PM360r device from eBay in the hope i could set it up and use it as a personal alarm which contacts me rather then contacting ADT. I have managed to get into all the menus, and i am aware i cannot use it on the visionic app. However a once simple task seems to have been made harder by ADT who inside the communication menu have removed Private reporting menu, i have tried a factory reset but that did not work. Is anyone aware of how i can set so all menu options are visable? Regards Saj

Hi, can you help me with an Arming programming question please. Texecom Premier Elite 24. Wintex software. 2 keyboards. One area only Area A. No Area Suites set up. KB1 in final exit /entry zone. Door contact final exit /entry programmed as entry/exit 1, ommitable, Auto rearm. Two PIRs in entry exit zone both programmed as Guard Access. Ommittable. Access. Auto Rearm. Question: When Arming at the keyboard near the final exit door I am in the sight of the two PIRs which at the moment of arming are active of course. This causes an arming fault and indication shows the PIRs are preventing Arming. if these PIRs are set to NOT USED then arming is OK. Is this normal or not…

  4. Good morning, I have a Galaxy Flex 020 at home. This panel has 3 outpouts (OP1,OP2,OP3) I'm using OP1 (for my bell) and OP2 (for my strobe and bell inside) OP3 was supposed to be a fully programmable output, but I didn't manage to make it work as OP2. Even if the function is set to "Strobe", and the polarity is set to "Positive", the OP3 delivers a voltage of about 12V, even if there is an alarm. From my understanding the voltage is supposed to drop at 0V like for OP1 and OP2 Do you have an idea what's going on ? Alternatively, and as the Panel offers many possible o…

  5. Hi all, Im new here and not a professional and as such will probably talk a lot of jibberish so bear with me..? My Dinosaur scantronic 9450 in the garage is going bonkers and triggering the panel in the house. I have a strobe on the garage and it flashes but I have no idea which zone is triggering it out of the 3..no indicator on the panel and I dont think the bell is sounding either (its fitted in the garage to give invaders a head ache..lol) I have the house trigger wired to the strobe panel output (seemed logical) so its reasonable to assume that the strobe is triggering the house panel. So from what ive read about Scantronic its m…

  6. Hi, I'm currently replacing a Honeywell alarm system with the Premier Elite 24. I have completed the installation and everything is working as it should apart from the two wired door contacts which are showing tamper alerts. Can anyone offer any advice on how to resolve this issue? The current wiring only uses two cores in the contact and then the appropriate panel zone. Thanks in advance for any advice!

Hi, I have just installed a Galaxy Flex 20 (firmware 3.52) with C079-2 RF portal & ethernet board. It replaces an existing alarm system that was installed in the under stairs cupboard. I wanted to put a keypad near to the front door so that it was easy for my family to set / unset the alarm. Running wires to this location is not an option. Unfortunately, I can't find an RF Keypad. So I bought a TCPA2B remote keyfob, thinking I can programme it to set the system. The keyfob is registered to the system, but I can't find any way to program the buttons so I can use it to set the alarm. I've also tried an HS3FOB1N, but this will not even regi…

Hi all, Forgive my ignorance if I miss name anything, I have never had a alarm system previously and it is all new to me. I have moved into a property that has a pyronix enforcer alarm system that I had serviced last month and is running smoothly. While the engineer was out I asked them about a control panel that was located by the front door which had no power/screen on. He said that this was not part of the Pyronix system and was likely an old alarm that was installed previously. After some research online I found it was a eurosec panel and looked around the property but was unable to find any other items from the eurosec alarm system, the…

  9. Hi, I'm currently installing a Texecom Premier Elite 24 - metal version. In the box there is a bag with the tamper screw, metal clip and a small piece of plastic. I can't find any information about what the metal clip and plastic are used for. I assume the metal clip is a spare for the one already fitted on the cover. Can anyone offer any advice on what the small piece of plastic is used for? Thanks in advance!

Hello We've got an Opima alarm system on our house which was probably installed 25+ years ago and we're going to replace is for something a bit newer. It actually still works well so I've got some questions about the process for safely removing it. I've got the instruction book which shows the customer code but not the engineer code unfortuantely so I'm trying to work out how to remove it with minimal noise. As far as I can tell, the process will be - Isolate power to the main control panel (it's wired alongside the upstairs lighting circuit). The 12v battery inside does still operate the panel when isolated. I had it turned off all last Sunday while d…

Hi, does anyone know if the BT VP1000 frequency is 868-0 or 868-1 Also, can the Magnetic door contacts Aux terminals be used the same as the MCT-302 as they came with a jumper between the terminals for when it wasn't being used but the VP1000 magnetic contacts didn't. Thanks

Looking at updating my scantronic alarm to a smarter model and this seems to be a common diy choice. I have done some reading and have the below questions. 1) To enable communication for the app control and alerts I will need a communication module. If I wanted a backup for WiFi (broadband) failing could I just install the gprs module and use a SIM card for app alerts and sms alerts or would I need both modules? 2) Do the modules fit in both panel cases the small/large or do I need the large one? Thanks

  13. Thank you to everyone who previously assisted me with adding some QD-W indoor ricochet PIRs to my system. With the help received I managed to setup everything the way I (and more importantly, my wife) wanted. I do appear to have one issue though - and maybe I've missed something: My new QD-W's show as zones being active for long after I've left the room. Which wouldn't bother me too much, but it appears to be hindering my ability to arm the alarm when leaving. When trying to set my alarm with my remote control, often nothing will happen - and then I have to wait a minute and try again, before it eventually works. My guess is that it's the QD-W…

  14. Sorry if this is a stupid question...... My 595 panel is erroring with a battery voltage alert (can’t remember if it’s an on charge or off charge alert). Battry now 5 years old so new one on order. In the meantime have stooped the alerts by setting the PSU test time to 0. Can anyone explain the difference between the on charge and off charge voltage limits as makes no sense to me.

I have DSC Power 832 with trouble light on a door contact sensor (DEOL). I did replace the contact and tested wires back to the panel and swapped them for spare pair. No joy. Setting the zone to Null removes the trouble light. I would be grateful for any suggestions
