Hi, If i get one of these, does it have to be wired in End Of Line, or is it just a functionality that it has, and can be wired in in other formats: Texecom Elite Quad PIR Thanks.

I am looking to replace a Paragon plus alarm with a newer model, currently looking at the Pyronix Euro 46, or Texecom Veritas excel In regards to the Pyronix, is this simple enough to do for DIY installer as there are limited instructions online, can you still use the home control app? or do you need to be a registered installer? On one of the sites there is a product recall, (*currently stock delays due to a software issue recall), therefore should you steer clear from these

Hi, I’ve moved into a house with a veritas R8 alarm and I’d like to have the internal sounder in a different place to the mains panel. If I buy a sounder, could I just disconnect the wires from the sounder in the panel and connect the new sounder wires in its place? Thanks

Morning ? Just a quick question please. Our old alarm had a few false alarms in its time. Our newish one (a texecom premier elite) has also suffered two. Both at night. One just now. Always scares you right up cos its so loud with the internal sounder. And every time I think the neighbours are going to hate me and the kids cry. Anyway, apart from one time it's always been the lounge pir that sets it off. If you got called out to this sort of thing, what be your standard procedure please? Can you install two pirs and have it so they both have to register to set off an alarm? Would you move it? It's…

  5. Hi I've recently moved into a house and the house has an Ademco Accord 8 alarm. I've never even touched the alarm and I've no interest in using it and the previous owner didnt leave any codes for the keypad. The other day we had a power cut and the alarm went off until the power came back on which was very annoying and there was no way to turn it off. I've since learned that the alarm goes off if the battery is problematic. However I need to cut the power to the house in order to do some electrical repairs. If I cut the power to the alarm, the alarm goes off so I guess its running on the battery. So my plan is to get inside the box and disconnect the battery. Doe…

  6. Hi all, hope someone can help, I have a scantronic 9651 alarm that was installed when the house was built, approx 10 years ago, it recently developed a 'batt missing' inactive fault and would not let me set the alarm, the previous house owner did not leave the engineers code so I carried out a first stage reset to default the codes, this was successful, although obviously set off the lid tamper fault and sounded the bells, however all programming seems to be intact, zone names, sensor types etc. I then changed the battery in installer/engineer mode and replaced the lid, and exited engineer mode, however the warning triangle remained, entering the user code sho…

  7. Having spent a fair amount of time researching a new alarm install, I have settled on the following setup to secure the exterior of the property as well as outbuilding. - Pyronix Enforcer Control Panel V10 - ENF32UK-WE DIGI-WIFI Wireless Module x1 - KF4-WE Two Way Keyfobs x2 - XDL12TT-WE External Volumetric Detector x2 (one facing the vehicles and one facing the outbuilding entrance door) - OPTEX SL-200TNR 60M Beam Detectors x2 (with Pyronix MC2-WE Wireless Contact x2) - Hikvision Cameras x2 However, before ordering I have a couple of fairly fundamental questions which I still cannot find an answer to, hence turning to you knowledgeable l…

Hi i am currently replacing my old alarm with a Visonic wireless system but after fitting some of the pet PIR's I am finding they are not very sensitive at all, they do work and I have moved them down the wall a bit but they still don't seem that good. Has any one got any tips or is this normal? Thanks a lot, Gary

  11. Does anyone know of a wireless alarm system that offers a wireless external siren that is wireless to the control panel but can be cabled to the electric to save replacing batteries? I've been looking at the Texecom system but can't figure out if the Odyssey X-W does this? Any advise?

Hi everyone, Apologies if this has been asked before, but I have been unable to find an answer. I have an Optima XM home alarm and need to remove 2 PIRs after some building work was done on the house. I know which zones relate to which PIRs after doing a walk test. Could someone provide step by step instructions on how to do this please. Also, after disconnecting the power and taking off the front panel and then reversing, all LEDs are now on and all buttons unresponsive - is this normal and will the panel return to normal after a set amount of time? Thanks in advance!

Hello - I am in the US and had my Television provider monitoring my security system. They have their own touchscreen that integrates with my Honeywell system. I am canceling the monitoring and returning the touchscreen, but want to still have the system operate without monitoring. How do I reprogram the Honeywell system to work independently of the 3rd party system? thanks! cliff

Advice please. I was changing the battery on the Veritas 8. When I pulled out the earth lead from the old battery, The alarm went off (mains power was off). I put power back on and reset alarm to kill the external siren. I then noticed that the black and red wire wound together at the bottom left of picture was loose. Don't know whether it never was in a terminal or i knocked it out when i pulled the battery wire. Does anyone know where this wire goes please? Thanks in advance john
