Any chance of an access control forum? I have had a couple of enquiries in the past and have fortunately found the answers by posting in the CCTV forum. Just a thought!

Hi, I have just purchased a new house which has a Gardtec 300 series alarm. When I turn the power off it sets off the alarm. Am I right in thinking that it probably needs a new battery? If so is it something that I (who has no idea what he is doing) can change myself without annoying the neighbours too much? Any help would great. Thanks, Dan P.S Sorry if this is posted in the wrong place, which it probably is!

Hi hope someone can help. I'm trying to fit a visonic 4 way receiver to a scantronic expander, I am told I can use it to have 4 wirefree zones connected to the expander. The receiver has 1 terminal for each zone and the expander I'm wiring to has 2 terminals per zone, how can this be wired? I'm hoping I'm missing something obvious. James This is a pdf for the receiver http://www.visonic.com/VisonicHomePage.nsf...nstructions.pdf

Four panels with 'Apollo 32-1' and 'BJE88' on the circuit boards, they are all interlinked etc so as they all mimic each other,The call points fitted are marked up as 'Apollo CP3'. It is using a 3 wire system at 12v-basically the whole lot is ancient and nowt is labelled at all in the panels-I have got photos of the spaghetti and CP's if required. Further details off the fronts are-Wipesector Ltd 0244 810668 and Apollo 32-service 0515319129 ANY help at all would be brilliant. Many Thanks. Richard

"cause they aint going to pay for there meal...." the kids are google eyed and trying not very well not to stare, "howd you know?...." "just a hunch..." I`m explaining to the wife how they sat inside to order then decided to eat outside so to relax the waitress because she ought to see what would happen if they had stayed outside but the waitress says "sorry but were not serving outside today". so the taller one of the two goes to where they were stood before coming in and brings back a tesco carrier bag. Soon as no ones looking they take …
