I've been to few elderly customers homes recently who have had free loft insulation fitted as per gov inititive to reduce their fuel bills. Sure, it reduces heat loss etc, but am a bit concerned re pipes/wiring and in particular down lighters. Saw one last week, lady had 4 PAR38 100w fittings in the lounge (bungalow) covered by 8" fibre glass. Are there any fire (or otherwise) regs on this?

Afternoon guys I was hoping that one of you lot out there would have installed one of these plena LBB 1990/00 vas systems. my main concern is that i am putting 12 speakers in and i am assuming that each speaker only requires two core's of a cable and does that cable need to be anything special or can i use normal 8 core . Does it need to be wired as a star system or can it be wired in a daisy chain scenario. Any advice or experiances you have of installing these systems plus any installation manuals would be very helpfull. i pride myself on doing a good job and don't want to balls it up. Thanks David

I have stumbled across an old Dalmeier DMS-180/II I am going to bung it in my house for now until I buy something better. I have managed to get it up and running etc but I dont know the administrator password, and I need this to change the LAN settings. I have managed to guess the other three default passwords but cannot work the administrator out. Also, does anyone know where I might be able to download a manual, I can battle my way around most of it, but some of the terminoligy in some menus is confusing. Any Ideas will be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance
