Looking for advice on disabling our current alarm and replacing then replacing it (north London). We've moved into a house with an old Castle Euro Meridian G2-16 (grade 3 with MSX card fitted) installed by Banhams. It had a separate phone line for remote access, but that got disconnected when the previous owners moved out, which caused an error code on the alarm (and means we can't use the alarm at all now). Banhams won't give us a reset code, and say it needs an engineer visit to reset it (for £200+). Hi, I’m new here and looking for support with a Texecom Alarm. I had it installed around 18 months ago but recently had to move the main keypad due to some decorating. The company who installed the alarm are not being helpful at all which is a little disappointing. I have move the keypad and re-wired it but having some issues. Not sure if its an option here but happy to pay for remote support if there are forum members who offer this. A little more info, I have a premier elite alarm with a wired and wireless keypad. Hi all, I would really appreciate a bit of help here please.I have an alarm box is an ademco xpc microtech accord 8 with the keypad as pictured. I had to switch the power off at the circuit breaker and later that night when I went to set the alarm to the "Night Set" (Easy Set 3) it beeped 3 times and never set.After testing this more, it turns out the "Full Set" (Easy Set 1) doesn't work either, it gives the 3 beeps. When it was working you would hear 2 beeps and set but now you hear 3 beeps but doesn't set.I noticed that if I try and set it by entering the code and then 1 for full set or the code and then 3 for night set the alarm shows that zone 8 is tripping.T…

New to all this. But thought forums would be the best place for advice. Just started a ltd for the second time. The first time I had an accountant ’taking care’ of my accounts, tax etc but I just got bills for things I didn’t understand and I wasn’t sure exactly what he doing. I was wondering if anyone knew of any ‘ltd company accounts courses’ or something along those lines. Even though I’ll use an accountant for now. I would like to take my accounts in to my own hands. Has anyone got experience of the 4 wire GDX5 door entry/intercom systems. I have a good friend that has a faulty handset but having not used one and not being able to get my head round the fact it’s 4 wire instead of the usual 5 wire systems I’ve used can someone tell me. Can I use a normal door entry phone like a BSTL or is it only a GDX system phone that’ll work ? cheers

Hi guys, welcome everyone! Maybe you'll have any idea? Risco Lightsys 2, no issues over last 5 years. I assume the battery just died (due to its age) and this is what happened then: 1. Power outage in my house 2. Alarm can't boot - it turns on for 0.5sec and resets again and again 3. I disconnected all the sensors - it boots 4. Connected the sensors again - still up and running 5. I replaced the battery, just in case 6. Another power outage 7. Hello, first time poster here looking for some help and advice please. I have a Pyronix Euro46 SM installed which seems to be a pretty decent set up? However seems to be prety much locked down by the installer so needs a call out for almost any issue. I was wondering if there was a way to lift any of these restrictions myself or if there was a good local engineer anyone could recommend that could lift some of these for me or go back to the insatlling engineer (which I would rather not!). Also could do with someone looking at the CCTV system but guess that will be another post. Many thanks in advance :-)

Hello everyone. I've been struggling with my alarm system to get it work. By struggling I mean I was searching internet for days for solution for my problem which is that alarm dont want to be set. This would not be too much of a problem if not the one thing.. ANY HELP IS GREATLY APPRECIATED Would anyone be able to help me in finding out how a keypad talks to the main panel, I have an oscilloscope asd I have connected it to the 'Comms' wire, when the Accenta keypad is connected to the panel. This wire is at a constant 5 volts, with dips in this voltage when a button is pressed, or the panel needs to send the keypad information. I just removed P.A. from my counter side as we change the carpet. The door was bit sticking under the carpet .it was opened with a slight push. The P.A and rest of the system works fine but the internal speaker stop working. I checked everything from the programme manual nothing works. Is it some fuse or mainEM board problem? Morning all, I am doing a takeover on an old Abacus 15R intruder panel, does anybody have an install/user manual for one please? I need to retrieve the master user and engineer code and I believe from memory there is way to do this without crashing the whole panel? Thanks in advance.
