Pyronix have stopped supporting ID on their large panels.... The 162 did, but the new 280 is only available as far as I know now, and there are no iD terminals (though iD is mentioned on the sheet inside the lid???) Any other makes still support it? Cheers!

Evening all, anyone know the criteria for reading Wintex files on another pc that didn't create them?. I could try it but I just thought I'd ask in case anyone knows the answer. Reason, I use wintex on site for programming, mainly descriptors, and so as I have a backup in case of a panel failing, obviously I have user name and password set up for Wintex. What I'd like to be able to do is email the site file to the office, they then use Wintex to open the file, and produce a site card of zones etc etc, ready to go into the panel and a company copy. Just saves me a load of time on site writing it all out twice, like us engineers don't hav…

I've not had to put a cct on soak test for awhile but yesterday i set a cct up for soak test on a Euro 46 and found that there is now another option of initial soak test. The manual states "Initial Soak - Enter the number of days the soak test will revert to in the event a soak input is triggered during testing" How do you guys normally set this up. Being old skool i am used to programming a cct for soak for 7 or 14 days then returning to site to check. Is there a way of disabling initial soak? Ta.

Got a premier on a site where the front door is wire in to the keypad and mapped to circuit 25 in the entrance hall there is a dtect wire back to the panel on circuit 2 as guard access, problem is circuit 25 is not letting the panel know quick enough it has opened so circuit 2 is going in to full alarm not allowing a walk through. Is there any response time setting that can be altered ?

Opinions for testing signals to ARC please. Some sites especialy larger ones are dificult to Arm, Alarm, Confirm, Disarm when occupied. on older panels we have in the past undertaken a Walk test checked attributtes and logs then sent signals via outputs. Not ideal! Newer panels alow the option to select 2 (obscue) devices and set the system then tripping same to transmit Close, Int, Conf, Open. Im currently in discussion about this test feature being replaced with a feature called "ARC SIMULATION" basicaly we choose the options required: Int, HU, Conf, O/C, Fire etc and the control panel software will simulate these to ARC in the format the Control panel …

Guys, is there a way of disabling supervision on a ricochet DT? I need to put a wireless detector in the back of the van but I can't have it supervised for obvious reason. Had a good look through a couple of manuals but can't see anything relating to disabling the supervision. Want to avoid a standalone RX and PIR if I can.

So, Eaton SecureConnect is out. Much like the Vanderbilt product, it seems that it won't push alarms to the app, but will send an email. http://www.touchpoint-online.com/content/eaton-secureconnect?platform=hootsuite But the biggest shocker came when I asked how soon the new firmware will roll out... As you can see, they swerved the question about PCB upgrades, as the GenII 40H would fit straight into an old 40 case, except that they've removed 6 zones wired onboard zones... (you can at last use the spare zones with expanders, though) Upgrades can now be performed remotely over-the-air too if you've got brow…
