Can't quite believe it, but of all the scanny and menvier expanders (other than iOn and MSPSUs) I've fitted, this is the first time I've ever had to add a 9954 expander to a 9x5x (a 9853 in this case) using a 2nd PSU. Can anyone who has actually done this confirm the arrangement, as it doesnt seem to be in any manual? PSU obviously supplies the 9954 but do Data, Clock ?and? 0V go back to panel?? Thanks in advance.

Hi guys had a call from engineer who was on site today with a Euro 46 with Webway on 232 when he was testing a tamper signal through he tampered a DT panel went into tamper and showed zone but ARC did not receive a tamper signal checked programming and all in order. Tested panel tamper and it worked fine. I then tried this with panel on the bench and it done the same thing. Anyone else seen this?

Siemens / Vanderbilt SPC, just wondering; can it silently autoset an area (single zone / room in this case) after 24 hours (or whatever) of no activity from the PIR? Access to the area would be via prox card (using the SPC access functions) to do the auto-unset. Not required to be compliant to regs so that should make things easier.

Taking over a chub system with px 48i two keypads and two 8 zone concentrators so we replaced the panel as it has code of the day enabled everything wired up and programmed but the bus line keeps dropping out at random. The voltage is at 13.8 but the bus voltage goes from 6 t 1 volts ran out of time so plan to return and start disconnecting devices on the bus line but as this is the 1st px 48 we have worked on any pointers would be helpful

Had a bit off an odd one today. Builder fitted 9651. Circa early 2000s EN version, actually quite tidy and using optex detectors, amazingly wired EOL too. Suspect actually done by proper security people but no labels or removed by others. No bell though - although that was sorted as I fitted an internal elmdene one today. Anyway the call was for the panel not resetting after a detector was removed to redecorate. Owner tells me he thinks eng. code is written on manual but claims he wouldn't know what to do with it anyway, hence myself. So I'm assuming bent tamper spring etc... etc... but it wasn't, detector had been put back fine. To cut a long story shor…
