  3. Hi all, After a bit of feedback please. It is my understanding that NSI companies are required when commissioning a system to take the signal strength readings from any wireless devices. In practice this is pointless as the signal strength shown could change 10 minutes later, so the question is, is this a relevant measurement to take ? Is the point of this reading to indicate a possible issue on site at that point in time, or is it to be used for comparison purposes at subsequent service visits. The signal strength shown is usually in dBM but is that useful? Would it be more useful to show good bad or marginal with an option to look at actual dBM. Would it also be use…

Hi guys took over a site today with the above panel installed. Only thing I'm stuck on is the previous installers name is on the banner and I could not find option in the menu. Also is there a quick reference guide available as to menu numbers?

AE-2 768 R and AE-2 769 R I've been asked to take over a system which includes a pair of separate control panels which, apart from the make, I know nothing about. I suspect they are hybrid wireless panels linked to the main system, but a search has not revealed any info. Can anyone help? Thanks!

  6. Started by Ronnie,

I'm playing around with a galaxy flex using EF (over emizon). Relatively new to EF. I can't see a zone bypass event which I assume will be BB. Dropping the bell time down to 1 min, opening circuit and leaving open, system re-arms (i'm assuming it does anyway as internals cease but it doesn't signal this, i would have thought it would) but i don't get a zone bypass signalled? 51.09 set to 2 and the circuit i'm using is omittble anyway SIA 3 omit is ON ??

How do We have loads of old TS stuff knocking about and used to programme them the hard way, on site via RKP. We had a DCI with printer so when the job was finished print it out, jobs a good un (especially on a multi warded 2500! Anyway, this went missing for about three years but i've found it! So, having used downloader with the M series with no bother, I want to be able to connect to the bigger TS panels out there and take a download. Having a play today with a 690, but with no real success. What i've done, set up the site, site no/password, matched them in the panel. 11. Hi we've got to quote for a new build that has has a bad 1st fix done by an electrician. Could anyone recommend an all in one panel with an LCD screen grade 2, 8 zones prefferably with wireless add on if required? Don't really want to have a plastic or metal end station with a keypad next to it unless we have to and we dont really want to have to fit grade 1! Any help in the right direction would be appreciated!

  12. Started by Amps,

Is Auto Arm acceptable on a PD6662:2004 system? I'm not talking about arming from a ARC but set times in the panels programming.
