As per tittle, Any idea how to have 12v sounder which is used for a shunted garage time out after say ten mins? garage zone is a DT (24hrs) with a good old fashioned key switch sorting out the circuit & allowing access, sounder is driven off panel output 1 & is currently programmed as 24hr I don't think this can be done with out using a timer relay, would any of you guys like to prove me wrong ?

Took over one of these the other day, system has two keypads, one upstairs, one downstairs, customer wants the upstairs keypad to be silent on setting/unsetting, anyone know how to program this? There is no detection upstairs and they set/unset at night from the upstairs keypad Also, upon entering the engineer code, the panel insists the lid be removed (open cabinet), does anyone know how to disable this feature? Had an issue today with a 9751 and wireless expander. Job is a good 5 years old, I believe the RFX08 to be 3 maybe. Basically the customer had lost his old 725r setting device. Turned up with a new 722r setting device. So, jump in the loft (great) into the RFX press select, delete existing telecommanders, try to learn in new wont have it. Existing 726r panic button learns in every time, but the 722r no chance. Touchpoint said there should be no issues with the model numbers I gave him, but could I **** get it to work. Anyone else had any issues? Thing I noticed was the l.e.d looked weak, compared to the 726, wondering if thats the issue??.

Evening Peeps, Just a quickie, anyone know what this panel is?, Prospective customer requires new devices adding (around 4), he has sent me the pic, obviously not engineer reset on tamper!, and judging by the battery date hasn't been serviced for a while, There is writing that seems to imply ID, and a PCB adjacent to main board?, but normal zones seem to be apparent as well.None monitored apart from security on site supposedly to some extent-your guess is as good as mine! (industrial estate). Any help appreciated folks. Ta, Richard.

I've got a customer with the above panel, had it for 3yrs or more, all of a sudden they are saying that they have NEVER heard the Walk Test tones from the RKPs. The system has been serviced by myself during that time and I have always done the walk test the same way, the RKPs have always sounded. No amount of discussion would convince them. They say that have NEVER heard the tones before. Well, the main protagonist is the one who always signs my Dkts. and one of the RKPs is on her office wall by the door. I rang Touchpoint and was told that the W/T tones are not isolateable, no reason to disbelieve them. They did say though that on later models isolation is possible. …

We have loads out there and know them inside out. However, took one over and found some burnt out components on the PCB (sorry about the **** pics) Looking at my paint arrows artistry, what are these components? The white component has detached from the pcb, and the round component thats now black is supposed to be orangey in colour. What are they, and what do we think has happened? The alarm still works fine..... (touches wood). Also I note not every 690 iD has these components fitted.

Did a take over today and found this.....(sorry about the quality) Check out the wiring for the 2 External Sounders.....The third is the trigger for the dialler...Why not use the Plug-by comms...? Why fit the blue link? Internal sounder and Pir on same cable... 1/3rd of zones given the NU attribute... I should have known it was going to be this bad, when I went to site earlier in the year and fitted new contacts to the garage without causing a tamper. Long story, but could'nt get access to the panel.. Worrying that they are still in business..bunch of es. It makes you feel sorry for the customer when you reel off all the errors and have to explain the increase in c…
