Anybody got a file so i can put this on my lappy? We dont fit too many, but its handy to have for local connection programming mainly...... or do i need to speak to our rep?

  2. Started by arfur mo,

We are all used the usual seasonal panic calls to fit systems, normally someone gets done a barn doors need bolting before the horse. But today I get a call to dis-arm a system. Not one I installed but it us a small GardTec 350. Been in once 3 years ago, swapped out a flat battery, i hear no more until today. They suddenly want syten disabled, their worry is the bad weather and several extended power cuts, the panel can only take the slim battery, offer ti swap it out, fit new siren blah blah nope! So I've done as asked and got a letter. It was just so surreal, normally your trying to control their fear of intrusdion, driving the 'every window every door' requested, bu…

For the record Post #8 Where does that say Arfur that I discount a solder fault~? As you openly accuse? Where does "Resting your case come from"? You suddenly a Barrister? Again you find attacks in thin air. That is the reason for the PM you recieved, I was seriously thinking of walking away from here. However, why should I let a drunk ( Read your answer on another thread, if you cannot find it ask a MOD it was reported) bother me in reality. Your clearly not happy without the last word even if it means dragging up references to "defunct good or companies". People want answers relevant to today not a walk down your narrow memory lane. You wil note others als…

We have a few take overs on these systems coming up. Trouble is most are still under contract from Chubb................., ie monitored. Never used one, normally we rip em out for a Galaxy or something. Looking through engineering it looks like the they can be locked. Anybody know if Chubb/Initial lock their codes in? I can see me trying to unlock one, then not being able to then the system needing a reset lol Any advice

Hi Guys, I have a Powermax to fit tomorrow and need to know exactly what to program the zones to. I have fitted one before but they never wanted to set it at night so it wasnt too hard. Can anyone tell me what zone type is what? Delay 1 and Delay 2 are Entry/Exit Perimeter is a zone that is on in full and part sets Perimeter Follow = Access Zone and Entry/Exit in Part set I assume ????? Interior = Full set only zone (omitted in part set) ????? What the F@#k is Interior Follow is it a zone that is omitted in part set but access zone in full set ???? Please confirm/ correct the above Thanks Glenn

For some time now i have been looking for a suitable panel to replace the galaxy we currently use. I have looked at a few, some i have discounted for various reasons. Im currently playing with the HKC 1070 Initial impressions are positive, 8 eol or dp zones on board. iD if using their sensors allowing 10 sensors on 3 wires (+,-, data) so making the panel 55 zones out of the box without expansion. 2 way wireless builtin, 1.5A psu, built in digi modem, allowing digi (including extended formats), sms and speech dialler. Keypads actually speak to report alerts etc, so seems very user friendly. local usb port for programming and modem for udl Links, (not as poweerful as…

On a grade 2/3 system that is unset/set using an external reader (outside the protected area), is it a requirement that the entry door to the premises have some form of electronic locking device (i.e a maglock) to prevent accidental entry leading to false confirmed alarms? Stewart
