Trade Control Panels

Hi all. Just fitted an sd1 speech dialed, of which I have fitted many over the years with no problem, either using the bell connection or a programmable output. Tried to connect this one to an old Gardtec 800/816 neg trigger to the bell connection on the panel. The sounder then just goes straight away??? Measuring the voltage between each trigger on the sd1 and the panel +ve I get 11v all the while, hence why the bell rings, but why not before on other installs.??? The only outputs are d1 and d2 and these are for digi, of which I have never fitted and not sure what to program these to so I can achieve a +ve or -ve trigger . Any help out there. Nick

Any hints or tips for unlocking one ? BTW its a "Grade 3 " install.... not sure if the Digi & G1 contacts comply

Been asked a couple of times what these things are like Its like a spi key for the gals but has usb on the other end. Allows upto 8 meg of stored configs etc. Company defaults cann be stored on it and blown on commision as well as panel changes etc. Comes in a clip out plastic cage and a lanyard.

Got a call for 'beeping keypads' which I assumed would be mains fail... Udl in and logs show multiple duplicate keypad errors on both partitions, with restores the very same second. Long story short phoned Eaton (thats how they announce themselves on the phone now) and get told, 'oh yeah, we know all about this, you just need software 4.03c which is specially for this model. We dont know why it happens but this will fix it'. guys. No announcement via touchpoint, I could have upgraded last time I was on or near site, instead a 60 mile round trip under warranty... I also have my worries about the fix, I assume it ignores all duplicate errors under, say, 5s since they a…

Just had a call with a 490x showing Lounge O! It's a wireless PIR, customer has now reset and ok. Can't remember what this means and google is not my friend I am going out in the morning to check, I think it's a battery fault although I may be wrong. It was serviced 2 weeks ago and new batts where fitted then. Edit due to ipad making up what ever it wants and not what I want.

I think its the early rebadged castle bosch panel but I am most likely wrong
