  4. Hi After several burglaries in my local area, including two in my close just before Xmas, I've scoured the internet including this very helpful site and am now the proud owner of a Pyronix Enforcer GSM-1 kit (+ extra sensors)! Whilst I like the quality and features of the kit I'd like a wired Bellbox, (if possible), with backlighting to give an added deterant to the would be opportunist scumbags. The control panel has an I/O board and the manual shows the wiring diagram for a wired bellbox, (I'd like the Deltabell Plus or Deltabell X). Does anyone know if this is possible, it may seem like a silly question, but I was told, (before I bought the kit and saw the manual/ …

A researcher (not CG) has published this on the security of the com-ip: http://www.lucalo.net/2015/12/30/security-alarm-and-iot/ Personally I'd that it meets the requirements of grade 2 - but not grade 3. I was a little surprised to see how the 'encrypted' password works though. That's potentially worse than the CSL homebrew effort - at least their decryption algorithm was closed shop. I've never used a Texecom panel. I was under the impression that Texecom brokered the connections between the com-ip and the app via their servers, thereby avoiding the need to open and forward router ports. This would explain the downtime that people have complained about on other forum…

Hi Guys Need a bit of advice as i've never had to do this before. A customer has asked me to add some microphones into interview rooms at a housing association offices. The rooms are used to chat with residents (not staff) There is already a camera in each room. They would like to be able to switch on/off the audio recording and bring on a 'recording in progress' light when needed, this is obviously straight forward but I need to know which microphones you guys would recommend, I know nothing about voice recording so any info would be a great help. Thanks

Anyone interested in politics and current affairs may find Freedomain Radio very interesting. Freedomain Radio is hosted by a canadian philosopher/blogger called Stefan Monlyneux and in my opinion makes a lot of sense especially regarding the european migrant crisis. He tells it like it is. http://m.freedomainradio.com/site/freedomainradio/home?url=http%3A%2F%2Ffreedomainradio.com&dm_try_mode=true&dm_device=mobile#2668 http://m.freedomainradio.com/site/freedomainradio/videos?dm_try_mode=true&dm_device=mobile#2609 http://www.fdrpodcasts.com/#/3174/weeping-hugroom-fascism-call-in-show-january-6th-2016 http://m.freedomainradio.com/#2668 …

I currently have an ADT monitored alarm which is connected to my BT line. I will shortly be moving my BT Master socket or moving to Virgin media and am trying to work out the cheapest option for retaining my alarm monitoring. As I see it I have 3 choices: 1. Buy a phone over power-line adapter to connect the alarm to. Does anyone have experience of this working? 2. Get ADT to move the alarm close to the new master socket. 3. Upgrade to a wireless ADT system. The only option I will not consider is having a phone extension cable from my new master socket to where the alarm currently sits. This is one of the main reasons I am moving the master socket in the fir…

Hi Just woundering if its ok to install a control panel within a kitchen area the fused spur would be mounted at cieling height from a cieling rose connected to the lighting for the house which is located within the loft space!. The panel would be very clear of the surfaces within the kitchen but at an acceble height on the wall adjacent to the living room. Also it's away from the cooker and any sources of steam like a kettle!. It will be placed within a closed kitchen cabinet in the future would this be acceptable its's just in terms of the security and what the client wants it'd be the best place to install. I understand that since 2013 kitchens were…
