Well happy with myself at doing my first ever galaxy g3 system. Its a total different ball game than doing it on a board in college plus that was a flex. Thought i had dropped a bollock with the engineer code, insufficiant access rights

Whats the diff?

If you could reset the development clock and have your dream integration setup what would it be? Pick anything from intruder, access, cctv, intercom, voip, gates, home automation, lights, audio etc. How would you do it? Which system would be your primary module eg intruder or CCTV? how would you interact with it? is an App a neccessary extension? Is there anything out there that you'd like to do that isn't available now?

Orderd myself a G2 to have a play about with. Thinkng about getting an ip module aswell and setting that up. Can you get an app for it ?. When i worked at the arc one of the installers used to ring us to set his alarm on his house this was using software called galaxy gold just basically keypad on a screen, do they still do this ?

Does anyone else actually clean there EWDs ? Only takes a minute if you got the ladder out it always looks better when clean well unless its weathered badly. Plus its your firms advertisement as well, the smarter you make the company look possibly get more work. another pet hate is seeing a nice new bell box with 3 old ones on same house, just think what a lazy sod so potential customers can see this probably think the same too. Plus why advertise the competition. Or am i just a bit OCD lol

Hi Folks a newbie here We have an optima xm6 alarm. When the alarm is off during the day every now and again it will sound the internal loud alarm for no reason at all, any ideas where/ how to start looking for this fault. Im an ex sparky but no alarm experience fitted the odd fire panel. Help please

Hi all I have come across this for the first time in my five years of cctv installations. Here is the set up; 4 cameras (TVI - from GTec) TVI DVR from same company Coaxial Cabling (shotgun) Cameras powered with a 5A compact (adapter) power supply at the destination (i.e. same place where the DVR is located) Location of DVR and where all the cabling lives; in the loft of a bunglow. Output is completely teary and full of interference; see picture attached. When I leave the house and do a full set, I have a given time (30 secs) to exit and then the bell sounds momentarily to confirm set, however, it is very loud, and I am concerned I will annoy neighbours especially if they have young children in bed, can I silence this confirmation bell sound, after reading both installation and user manual I can't find anything to suggest I can, can anyone help?

Good Evening all, Been looking at getting myself a ECS Card Unskilled Grade as don't have NVQ3 & 17th Edition, Just to get me on a site. Booked a place on a H&S Course but not paid yet cant see the point if i am unable to get a card. I have a C&G certificate 1853-02 (Intruder) But the application form only shows C&G1852/01, C&G1851, C&G1852. I can only assume they must not accept the 1853 for a card ?? Thanks in advance for your help & info
