I have an issue with a Guardall P48i ( PX48i ). It has all the elements ( detectors ) addressable and a couple of them just fail to operate. My problem is that the system can't be armed with open zones. i don't have any documentation about this system, neither engineer manual ( programing ) nor connection software. I have found something on net: user manual & installation manual but says nothing about how to program the system. Any kind of help is appreciated. All good, Lucian I

Ready for a new challenge by hopefully joining ROMEC has any of the members had the pleasure of working with the team? any comments would be welcome in respect of helping me decide my position I have worked for ADT for as long as I can remember installing intruder alarms and fire panels colleague informed me that most of the work with ROMEC is more or less the same as ADT in respect of control panel installations signalling devices. most of the installs I have carried out were with the galaxy range and signalling was either red gsm dual com the occasional WEBWAY any input with respect to the above would be greatly appreciated best wishes paul

So what's people's views on break glass detectors? i find them difficult to test a lot of the time and if fitted in a shop with lamented glass, which most should have, they won't go off anyway!

Fitted system 2weeks ago no problems all good programmed all ok just had call customer says zone 14 back door prom erro can’t set I’ve gone to site I’ve deleted zone relearn zone and 3 days later comes back to same fault did same thing delet relearn and new battery in device gone away within two hours back to same fault I’ve ordered new contact to replace but it bugging why is it doing this the door is only 10 foot away from panel ??? Any ideas anyone ?

Hi every one got problem I’ve got a panel to go look at but no manual and it keypad has power and at top It has 1 to 8 zones power light on right and on the left day light attackunder that and tamper under that the key pad numbers are useal but there is the letter A above number 1 and letter B above number 3 under the number 7 is a sign of a chime symbol and under number 9 is the letter Z ?????? anyone know the panel name or make better still anyone got manual for it install and user thanks

Hi all, Yet another post...had a customer call today who has a galaxy 48 installed on a commercial unit, they've said that everytime they've gone to set it recently it's showing that there's 1 omit. Popped over to have a look (service done at the same time since it was booked for next week) nothing in log to show omitted zones, took the omit attribute off the offending zone and it's still showing 1 omit when setting! Tried a default and re-upload config, tried a restart...no luck. Never had this problem before. Probably missing something obvious!

Hi all, Taking over an SPC at the moment and it has one wireless zone on it, the zone status shows as 'disconnected' about a minute after learning it on, the customer said that they had the same issue before. Battery is ok and signal is fine, any ideas? Ta

Hi all I wanted to know if, firstly if its possible and if so has anyone used this method. I talk about linking a power rio in an out building to the main panel with rs485 to ethernet converters. you could then link the buildings with a wireless link. Thoughts please.

Hi all Has any one had any issues with the inbuilt client for noip on dahua nvr's? one site was fine and no keeps dropping comms because the noip dns won't resolve so I have to go to site starting to really jerk my chain

Hi All Could I gauge how many professional installers on here are either SSAIB or NSI registered and how many find they don't actually need the registration as they don't do much insurance or police response work. If you aren't registered do you find it harder to find work and what is your niche market?
