What is the gray filter for that comes with an active8 PIR and which way do you fit it? ( shiny face towards or away from PCB)

Good question :hmm:

It fits behind the lens and will block out the sensor, so I assume it will reduce the sensitivity....

But, the Honeywell brochure states this range of sensor is "supplied with additional white light filtration which can be fitted if required for harsh environments"

I didn't know either...till now. :yes:

These are the guys to ask. I believe they are Honeywell's Stafford based rapid response technical team. Mr Archer and Mr Peat..
