Fire Alarm Block Off Apartments

Featured Replies

Loads of flats have no communal detection or warning system where there is no on-site supervisor or staff (or there may be in areas where staff are located only).

Go on to the firenet forum and ask some of the bods on there.

I installed a system very similar to this. In that case, the fire alarm was a category 5 (Not really a fire alarm at all) it was only there to open the smoke vents on the correct floors when needed, with the idea of alerting people thrown on as a bit of an afterthought. As far as I remember, that’s all the fire risk assessment asked for.

Think I should add that I only installed this, I was not part of the project management on this one.
