Hi, I am looking for some advice on a lone worker device. I would like a device that would telephone a series of numbers until one is answered in the event that the lone worker presses a panic button or becomes inactive (possibly unconscious). I would prefer the device to phone other workers (who are in a nearby building) rather than involving a central monitoring station. I would like a dedicated device, not an app on a mobile phone. The system must use the mobile network as there is no landline at the location. The lone worker is factory based and his location is known, so I don't need GPS to tell me where he is. Can anyone recommend anything? Pa…

Hi guys, my name is Frank and I'm a semi retired IT guy who also got involved with CCTV as part of the package. I moved from Bedfordshire 2 yrs ago to West Wales to get away from the yobs, vandals etc.. there are some cracking looking sheep here and I bought a new pair of wellies !! Anyway.. although crime is not a problem here I want to put some cameras up to keep an eye on the dogs as my yard and garden is to the side of the property so its difficult to keep an eye on. I have 4 cheap cameras left over from past jobs and a Xvision tdvr 8 with a failed HDD so I opened the DVR and confirmed the Master HDD was knackered and tried to play events from the Secondar…

Hello all, I have been pressured for years by my father and one of our engineers to come on here, and I finally have had the time... Should I say have made the time. Normally busy with Alarms, Kids, Renovating house, Building web site......the list never ends in my quest to succeed. I am your usual alarm engineers son, been in the industry my whole life and will be until I die. Love the job, but most of all love ripping other companies panels and sab's off the wall (sometimes just a small tug in enough). I am a friendly guy anyone can approch me, I often say no-one is above me and I am above no-one.....

Just retired from the police service where i last worked as a technical surveillance officer. Have a wealth of experience in covert design / build / install having been home office trained etc. Now looking to start up in business but having been insulated from the real world having difficulty with the concept. I would like to remain in the covert arena really - so is anyone looking to sub contract or even employ someone like me. Is there enough work in covert installs do do full time or perhaps 1/2 full time. Thanks for any help & info Kevin
