Afternoon all, I have signed up to hopefully tap into the massive wealth of knowledge i'm hoping to find on here! Have recently moved into our first house which had an alarm fitted, till now its been ok, but has thrown up a couple of problems this morning/today! I'm an electrician by trade, but mainly industrial so very very rarely touch alarms, sometime we will install cables/nodes/bells etc, but never have a sniff of the programming!! Will put a post in the appropriate area, and keep my fingers crossed for some help folks, Rich

  9. Started by mervzila,

Hello there. I'm currently working for a nacoss approved installer, glad to have found this site as I feel it will be very beneficial. Is it straight forward to become a trade member? I'm a bit reluctant to send my ID card through but if that is the only way to join I guess I'll have to. Thanks

Hello. I thought I best join some sort of community! I work for an NSI Gold company, very much enjoy the job. Always busy, and plenty of job satisfaction. Favourite panels have got to be Premier Elite, and certainly the Gardtec 600 does plenty for most. We work on any panel though, as long as it's still working, we've even still got some old key switch panels dotted about out there. We also install/service fire alarms, CCTV, fire extinguishers, access control. R Shaw

  11. Started by icoraycheff,

Hi all, My name is Hristo Raychev PM at ADNY Bulgaria, the company specializing in CCTV, AC, Fire detection and extinguishing, SCS and so on. I need some advice about access control systems please. We have a system that adopts the legic advatnt technology and uses legic advant ATC 2048 cards installed. We need to provide new system for another site but would like to adopt the existing cards as some people with cards from the existing system will be granted access for the new building? Thanks for your advice.

  12. Started by dave@damar.net,

I have just joined the TSI. I own a mid-sized security installation, service and monitoring company in Canada. We are based in Sarnia Ontario (60 mi. north of Detroit Michigan). I have well over forty years experience in the business, and I am in the process of retiring from the day to day operations of the company. That does not mean that I have stopped and I am still active. I am a senior instructor on the Canadian Security Association Education Program - Alarm Technician Course Level One and Level two.
