You need to narrow that down mate?

Which manufacturers are ahead of the others regarding home auto ect?

Are there any that are actively trying to sell the intergration of there i/a systems into other stuff?

James knows full well whats coming he has seen it I am still waiting to see it, but from what I have heard it will be cool

The siemens spc aka europlex signet has been around sine around.2006 , it's had web access, x10 and a lot of the intregated kit since then.

Only problem was it was riddled with bugs

Smart phone access etc will become more popular but the regs need to catch up fast but there seems no will to make this happen. But we need more than just access via apps etc we need zwave etc device integration too

Texecom Elites can be interfaced with Control4 (home automation) via a bit of software from extravegetables.

This offers a keypad emulation for ipad/phone etc.

We have integrated Texecom with Control4 and also Crestron and AMX. I will try ot find pictures, but integrating alarm systems with home automation offers some nice benefits (other than ipad control) like a floorplan that shows which doors are open/close and movement around the property.

 

Paradox is another company that has ethernet on their alarm panels and an iphone app.

It's the way everything is going, just look at the CCTV market! Won't be long till alarm panels and DVR's disappear and get replaced by servers.
