Thanks for the proper response... Ill most likely start out with a sensor & some contacts. 

 

Once i set up everything together, ill be putting it through a test which can give me peace of mind that it works.

 

Im a student studying so thats the reason for my budget..

I forgot to add, the main house has a alarm panel with siren & armed response, im assuming the alarm panel has a wireless receiver or not ? Damn im newb with this ....

Possibly if the system is hybrid or wireless

Thanks James, i did confirm now that the system isnt wireless & my relative got screwed over from a bad company trying to make money, so got overcharged for a outdated system.

 

In anycase i have found out that i can wire a receiver to a zone then wire a PIR to the remote, its a 403 MHz Binary code remote but im not sure if it will reach inside the house where the receiver is sitting, if you can give me some insight about this it will be great ! Thank You


Mmm... i could probably just run a wire into the roof then place the sensor closest to the outside room, that sounds like an idea.
