Hi guys, I was pointed to this forum to hopefully find out a bit more about a device I found when moving into a new home. The house has a CCTV system with 4 cameras installed, which all link together in a DVR kind of thing, which feeds a monitor. The whole system is probably 7-8 years old. The recording device has a HDD and a CDRW drive, but there is no branding or identification to be found anywhere. It is all working, but the device emits a rattling noise, probably coming from the CDRW drive or the fans. I would ideally like to find a manual, to learn a bit more about setup, and to be able to use all of the functions, e.g. a network link. Here are a couple …

Hello I need advice about pool alarms, if indeed I am in the right place. My two girls are 3 and 5 years old and they just looove playing in the backyard and around the pool, so my wife and I talked about it and we decided to get this alarm. There aren't many resources about this on the web, but some sites mentiones various types of pool alarms - those that go on the wrist and those that you have to install at, by, on, in the pool itself. So, if anyone has any information about these, I could use some help in deciding which way to go. What should I consider when choosing the right type of these alarms? Hi I've installed galaxy in the past for past companies but not really touched the programming side. I'm now applying for new installation jobs and I would like to start self learning on that side of the install. Could anyone advise the best way to get the training cd. I've got the g2 bible and I'm trying my very best to read through it but it does become a painful read at times lol Thank you

So I was installing a ion 16 today at work for a client. Now I don't have much knowledge on this panel. Now I've added two way radio fob on. But when I set the system with it it asks for code same with the part set. But when alarm is set the unset button unsets it without a code? So basically I want it so when I push the full set button it starts setting the system and the exit timer starts. Any help would be much appreciated

Hi all I hope someone can help me .I have installed a galaxy g2-44 alarm into my house .it all works apart from getting the unit to phone out when the alarm goes off . I have a phone line attached to the unit as it past that test in the setup but I can find a way to test it's dial a number . I have god the unit to phone my mobile when it arms/disarms or goes off . But it just won't do it . Do I need an additional card or have I not set it up right . Many thanks for any help Bruce

Hello, I have a system with 2x TS700 control panels. It works fine, but when the system is not armed one of the panels makes an irregular but consistent noise rather like a ticking clock. I think the noise stops when the system is armed. I believe this panel is no longer made, but can anyone suggest someone that could repair it? If not, a simple and (hopefully) cheap replacement. I am based in north London (N7). Thanks, John

I have set Zone 3 as an entry/exit zone - Zone 3 is situated at the top of the stairs and I wish to isolate this zone for nightime use etc. When I set the alarm at night it seems to set OK with the change of tone, but as soon as the Zone 3 pir detects movement it triggers the alarm, which then has to be unset. Zones 1 and 2 are also set to entry/exits. The system only has 3 zones plus a magnetic contact on the front door. Again help would be appreciated.

I have a Scantronic 9651 system with a 9930 keypad. I do not have the code for the alarm as the previous homeowner has never given it me. I have never set the alarm but I have come home from work today and the keypad is beeping with the spanner LED lit. I have rang the engineer who have given me several code which are all 'invalid codes'. I have checked all the wires in the alarm box and keypad which all look good (I am no expert). Is there a way I can stop the beeping without setting off the alarm or get it working properly to use as it should be Please help Rick

Have just installed a replacement 9448 as the old 9448 keypad went faulty. All is working well with the new unit, except that when entering through the entry door with the alam set, it only allows 10 seconds to get to the control panel before the alarm is triggered! Have tried altering the entry time delay in engineering mode using 43 [return] 2, 3, 4 and 5 with no success. Any ideas would be appreciated. Old Nick

Public! I think its another way of screwing more cash out of us, its unlikely that you will sell a car on the last day of the month. On the plus side when a car is purchased its automatically becomes un taxed until the new owner registers and tax's it so the Police should pick up un registered cars much quicker than in the past. The loss of the tax disc screen display is a bad move imo, I have a private drive now but before I had a drive I would know if people dumped cars out side my house, or if they were just visiting a neighbor

Hi, could someone please help me. I have recently moved into a house with the concept 6 fitted ( no maual or codes left by the previous owner), following some advice on line I have managed to get power to the main box amd download a basic user sheet, however when I power up I get a costant alarm sound and only the power indicator on the panel, all other buttons respond when pressed i.e. beep but no effect. No other lights show on the panel. thank you in anticipation

Hi all I have just installed a Visonic Powermax for a friend today but am having trouble clearing down an alarm on Zone 3, I have gone into diagnostics and it is seeing the detector no problem at all, also it is reporting CPU tamper, bell tamper but they are all clear and working. I powered the system up last night at home and it was working fine (I set/unset and triggered alarms off much to the missus delight) Having spent many years installing hard wired systems with very little issues I am keen to start fitting these little beauty's as they arn't as labour intensive and don't create too much mess. Your help will be greatly appreciated

Hello guys iv taken over some old workshops and I have came across 5 baxall zr4 printed circuit boards.i have spoken to a fellow spark with security experience and reckons they may be obsolete. I just wondered if any of you guys know if there is a demand for these and how much they could be worth? Any help would be greatly appreciated.
