Book says Completely power down the control panel. 2. Remove the RAM chip, which is located on the main PCB and is the centre of the three large chips. 3. Replace the chip and Power up the control panel. Reset the system and continue to re-programme as required. What I'm not sure is does it mean replace the the chip with a new one or does it mean the process of removing the existing from the PCB will blank it?

I have a Signet 300 on f/w 1.4b I want to turn into an SPC... I can connect by IP or USB via SPC Pro by choosing (only) SPC6300 but it won't connect at the last mnute because I can only choose f/w 1.1 or 2.0 and the f/w 1.4 on the panel isn't in the drop down list, so refuses. Great! Its definately connecting as get the password or panel wrong, and it won't let you forget! If I try the web browser (and I've ticked all suitable options, I think) it won't connect. Chrome and IE just gives up. But the same IP is fine for UDL (to a point). It appears the web browser is my only hope for a stepwise f/w upgrade to the point where SPC Pro will connect. Does anyone…

Guys, help required on setting up a menvier40. This set up worked perfectly as a cd95, but we are struggling to get the system working properly after the upgrade. right so... menvier40, various expanders around site, controlling external redwalls throughout the site. system unset via output on inward barrier. Set by storm keypad located on exit barrier. All zones double knocked and dialler triggered on confirmed. Rearm is always and reset is user. this worked perfectly as an aritech because the system never looked for a reset, it would just arm and disarm regardless and activations were logged for user to check every few days. Problem number 1: the menvier sets when …

A previous customer/friend of a friend has pre-wired their new house for intuder and smokes in every room. I have said you need 72hrs standby time. Thought of doing panel, bell, rkp and comms off panel PSU and smokes/PIR's off a psu, but main panel is needing around a 20 Ah battery. They have a baungalow the same as me, i added a 230v smoke alarm with battery to the hallway to comply with building regs. I have told them to ring the building inspector, but he's just likely to say follow BS5839-6. Will they need an interlinked heat in the kitchen and maybe the lounge. Anyone else come across this.
