I currently have a site that has  15 remote sites  with the really old dedicated micros dvip units in them which currently have pelco domes running on them working on the Pelco  coaxatron option. 

my client wants to upgrade these dvrs but wants to do it as cheap as possible but at the same time wants reliability does anybody know a good value dvr that has pelco c protocol available and  is reliable

Dont know of any cheap dvrs but pelco make a coaxitron translstor box to use pelco d dvrs with pelco c cameras

reliability is the most important was just after if anybody knew of a alternative dvr they had used with pelco c as my client doesn't want to go with dedicated micros again or I would just upgrade to the latest dm unit

I don't know of anything that does coax telemetry anymore

As above id add a bbv converter and rx

I recon reliable is the better choice too. Pelco or Samsung seem to be popular choices I build my own (Not that I sell it to anyone but my own customers) but its not cheap but you get what you pay for with the BBV convertor

While they are still around. I'm sure dm and bbv will do a baxall at some point

We have had a couple of problems while trying to use a BBV to make Denard 2020 domes work on a vista quantum plus.

Getting into the dome menus is a nightmare for one.

I thought the quantum plus had pelco coax built in?
