Hi just connected a texicom veritas to a honeywell ag6 bellbox. Powered the panel up and noticed its now gone back to factory default. Not only this when testing the sounder outputs theres no bell output or strobe output. Also the tamper light is permanently on. Connections to the panel from the sounder were as below. C = TR- D = V- S = ST- A = V+ B = S-

The CSL boards I've been looking at are nearly all CS2300 Dualcom GPRS units. It looks like there are now other boards available: CS2121 Dualcom DigiPlus CS2300-R Dualcom Gradeshift (which outwardly looks like the CS2300) CS5600 Dualcom DigiAir And at some point there have been: CS5300 Dualcom Calibre (black box)I'm being told that any issues I find on the CS2300 units aren't going to be problems because there are very few of the units out there. I don't think this is true - I think the CS2300-R is just a minor revision and the CS5600 DigiAir is too new to have already replaced however many units there are out there. What units do you see in use?

Hi Guys, We have nearly 400 dome cameras and recently we have noticed that parts of the dome are 'bleaching' into a orange tint, it is not noticeable during the day but at night when the IR kicks in reflects off it almost blinds the camera. The part of the dome that is bleaching the most is the part that faces the sun the most, we have spoken to the manufacturer and they have said that using RainX to clean the domes has potentially caused this. Whats everyone's thoughts on this? and has anyone experienced this before? Bleached dome vs new dome Night view with bleach dome vs new dome

Interesting little snippet re: the recent debate over isolation of a fan etc... Of course manufacturers requests would override this but interesting... www.hager.co.uk/files/nl/947127/50426/2db0815f9d6/l.htm

Hi Guys Just wondered if any of you London engineers have a better method of posting faulty kit to office and getting new kit delivered? Our stores is in Gloucestershire and I need to find a better way to ship kit from London engineers back to base. Obviously if its standard kit then we are blessed with a good qty of ADI's. When I was at Group4 we had cages in Target express depots where office could send kit to and that had packing materials to send kit back. I think they use dropbox now ?? Doesn't work too bad as we've always got staff going backwards and forwards but I'd like to standardise it. Dave

Use same devices on Scan/ Texecom products, same installers etc no issues. I have had 4 random tamper faults this week, different sites, range of devices etc, but Menvier panel. Well was on call today and got sent to a property and information I got was. 'Alarm panel just went out while doing diy around panel possible faulty tamper switch' So our alarm panels we install have 'Sealed' labels which basically means it been opened by a outside company so it can not be stuck together which I then asked the homeowner, Have you had a other alarm installer out as i see our sealed label is broken which he responded. 'Oh No I opened it up as I added some extra PiR sensors and door contacts' well that was the start. In our company the contract is quite clear which he voided his maintenance agreement which lead him to a £85 call out fee…
