Hello everybody! I have a question for anybody who knows about the Risco Novagard 4 bell box. I've seen them on houses with 2 red flashing LEDs they all seem to be working correctly but the one on our house doesn't have any LEDs flashing at all. It is connected to a Pyronix Paragon Plus alarm panel which is working fine and the alarm gets used. I have no Idea how old it is but I'm guessing mid 90s because of the colour of the bell box and the type of panel. As far as I know since we moved to our house in 2002 it has never had any LEDs flashing then ether. Here is a link to the picture:http://www.riscogroup.com/uk/sites/default/files/GT%20Products_NovaGard%204%20Cover…

finally upgraded from a car to van (Peugeot bipper) about a month ago. its got wood panels along the floor, sides and around the wheels but that's it. i bought two 4 drawer stacks from B+Q and put them back to back on the left hand side so i can get to the back drawers from the back door and the front ones from the side door. everything fits in okay for now but i want to be more organised. main thing i want to sort is cable storage, i usually carry a drum of FP200, 2.5mm, 1.5mm, and a couple of 8 core drums. i thought about getting some pipe and making some sort of thing that i can hook them into and then secure, but i'm not really sure how to do it or if that's the …

  9. Hi I am aware that to install a fire alarm system a certification from FIA is needed, now I have noticed alot of electricians do domestic fire systems on a ring but I guess at least part p would be needed as this would need to be fed from a dedicated circuit on the distribution board. Now the question is do you need any certifications e.g. FIA or Bafe to install a 12v smoke or heat detector to the fire zones on an intruder alarm system in a domestic property?

Right then chaps Just been for a survey and the client has 6 Italian whippets ranging from 6-16kg. She says they jump up onto window sills/worktops and they have free reign of the house when the humans are out. Any ideas on pet immune detectors or just tell her to lock them in a room when she goes out? Was thinking of contacts on all windows but she was thinking of having it policed so this wouldnt give me my confirmed alarm. Bit stumped at the moment so any help would be greatly appreciated

Hi All Just started a new job and they seem to be using Bell Sqawk on setting and unsetting the alarm.. I am pretty damn sure this is non compliant but just wanted to run by you guys here before i raise it as an issue. Also has anyone had any experience with NAPCO they seem to be using this for setting and unsetting the alarm and the boss says its compliant but I have big doubts.... http://www.napcosecurity.com/keyfobs.html Also what are the regs on AV integration in that you can see if the alarm is set via a custom AV ipad app. I don't think they have an option to set/unset from the AV software though. Thanks for the tips.

Hi all, I'm probably being really dim and missing something really obvious but any help appreciated. I've installed a Premier Elite 24, simple system, one kepad, 6 contacts. Programming using Wintex. I've set up area A as all devices for a simple full set. I was looking to use area B as a night mode which would inlcude 4 of the circuits, just on the ground to allow people to move around upstairs. I've been through the zone set up and ticked area B on those I wish to include and created a seperate user code just for area B as a 'night pin'. I've also made sure the keypad is ticked for both areas. Under the 'Area' tab, under areas, Area B is set…
