Hi, I'm trying to setup a new Pyronix MC1Z1-WE wireless sensor so that it uses a garage door NC reed switch attached to the external Zone, as well as functioning with the built-in mag contact on the other Zone. I can't access the installation instructions using the supplied QR code online as I'm an end-user and so can't get a Pyronix website account. I do have the installation instructions for the shock sensor version (MC1Z2-WE) and I was hoping the PCB/jumpers would be the same. It is roughly the same but my sensor is missing the 3-pin jumper to setup the external Zone input type (NC or double pole). What I want is: The MC1Z1 buil…

  2. Hi. I've had the GX Remote working on my Galaxy Dimension panel for several weeks now, all functions were working including group setting and output switching. Since last week the app cannot connect to the panel. I haven't changed any settings and my older app Selfmon VKP which uses the same port number is still working no problem so I don't think it's my panel or ether net card. Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks Dimension 48 version 6.92 Ethernet card version 3.02

  3. Last week I presented at IFSEC on the issues with wireless alarms, especially the cheap ones. It was received quite well, but we weren't allowed to name names. We've published a blog post about it now: https://www.pentestpartners.com/blog/alarm-systems-alarmingly-insecure-oh-the-irony/ The short of it - easy to jam, easy to replay disarm signals, you can sniff the PIN over-the-air if you use a remote keypad, you can brute-force the PIN as well. I reported these issues to Yale 4 years ago. However, they seem to be getting more and more popular as time goes on.

  4. Hi there. We recently moved into a house (new to us) which has an Intellisense alarm keypad, a (as far as I can see) Securit 800L / ST800L+ system and a ‘box’ on the outside wall of the house. There are various sensors dotted around the house which all seem to be live, flashing red when movement is detected. There is also a mains-powered fire alarm detection system which may or may not be linked…... However, there do not appear to be any lights lit on the keypad (which suggests it’s not powered up), and when we asked the previous owners they said they never had a code, and never used the alarm. I tried telephoning the number on the exterior …

Hi guys been having some issues with this panel, it seems a bit different from most scannys I've worked on. I'm trying to send a confirmed alarm on this panel but it's in an occupied building. My first issue is trying to set 2 zones to a seperate area, in the programming menu it appears I can only set area numbers rather than the usual A, B, C, D. (Unless I'm doing something wrong) 2nd problem is when I try to set a particular area that isn't the default one I get the "areas can't be accessed" come up on the keypad. Any help greatly appreciated!

  7. Hi Everyone, I've just joined the group (see my Introduction for background!) and I see that this Lounge forum has a load of support questions, so here's mine! We have a bricked I-ON40H+ after a software upgrade to V7.07.01. Strictly-speaking, not 'bricked' in the sense that it's a lost cause, but this damned message means I can't commission it to the client, so it's 'bricked' IMO 😀. I know the language update has to happen before a firmware upgrade, but what we think has happened here is that the engineer thought he had executed a language upgrade (all of this from a keypad) but I don't think that happened. Firmware upgrade was successful but we're left with this feck…

I have a Texecom Premier Elite 48 + Smartcom. Also have Wintex. It was all working well until this weekend when a PIR sensor had a radio problem when arming. Investigated. Seemed ok. Battery ok, etc, etc. Checked with Ricochet - all ok. And then I made the mistake of getting all the information from the system with Wintex, changing something (banner) and sending it back. Computer crashed mid transfer. Got the system back after it time locked out. Texecom connect/Smartcom setup was scrambled. So Wintex eventually back on line. The problem now is that I can enable the system in any and all zones via the panel, but can't disable anything except via the key fob. When …

  9. Hello, I am hoping that someone can help me. We have a Concept 6 house alarm that we inherited. About 8 years ago we went on holiday and it went off and the neighbours couldn’t get hold of us for the code so they called an engineer to come and stop it. He told them that he would have to disarm it and it would never work again. It no longer has lights on the control pad and it has not been triggered during the last 8 years even when the power has gone down. I recently had an electrician in and I asked him if he could remove the old motion sensor from the living room as it has broken and is dangling down. He said he didn’t want to touch it as even though the alarm was disa…

  10. Hello there, I am new to the world of security systems and could really use some guidance from the experienced folks here. I run a small retail shop thats about 1,500 square feet in size, and I am looking to upgrade our current security setup, which is quite outdated. I want something that offers robust protection but is also user friendly and does not break the bank. I would like cameras that provide clear footage during the day and at night. Are there specific brands or models you recommend for good quality video without excessive storage demands? Is it worth integrating motion sensors and door/window sensors into the system? If so; are there a…

My pyronix Euro 46 alarm showed a control panel battery test fault. I bought a new battery same brand, same model same mah\voltage. Have swapped it out which didnt seem to complicated, the orange 'active' light clicked back on , on the panel after swapping the battery over, however, the control panel battery test fault is still there. Is there any more that has to be done to clear the fault or have i installed it incorrectly , or is it some other issue.

Hi guys Having problem with programming proximity tags for the Enforcer V10. The tags are very thin and shaped like an egg, have been told that these are the correct for the Enforcer. Anyone point me in the right direction just in case I am doing something wrong ? Many thanks

Hi, I was wondering if anyone knows anything about the old alarm company ADE, like when they were founded? Or where they were based? I don't know much about them apart from the fact that they made the majority of alarms in UK homes today, and they weren't exactly high-end Thanks in Advance
