Juandaman
Hi, hope you have sorted it ok. I found that every time I down powered the Router my WAN changed as we all have Dinamic IP addresses and had to change it in the settings, now I have my router fed via a 12v PSU so hopefully it should stay the same. I am interested in knowing how do you configure outputs to operate them via the App. Thanks, Juan Link to comment https://www.thesecurityinstaller.co.uk/community/topic/39558-honeywell-gx-remote-control-app-connection-issue/page/2/#findComment-454831 Share on other sites
Niki1986
Hi guys I have a galaxy flex panel, also have a max3 reader outdoors which is set to a sep zone that arms and disarms the alarm for our yard outside, i know I can get the ethernet module and download the gx control app, how is this set up? Would i need a static ip addess? Or is there any other way of doing this? We use a 4g sim router (tp link) as it has the best quality signal and speeds in our area. Any kind of help would be appriciated. Stagdad
Hi there. Having the same issue with GX remote suddenly not connecting. Can you explain how to “power cycle the Ethernet card” ? Thanks. GalaxyGuy
Either remove power to the module or power the complete system down including battery. What panel is it connected to? 2 hours ago, GalaxyGuy said: Either remove power to the module or power the complete system down including battery. Does any of the galaxy reboot from menu like dimension? But I assume it won't reboot or flush the ethernet card? The pre v4.16 modules can crash the Ethernet interface and when this happens, they need to be power cycled. It's a total pain, so I always advise upgrading to the latest version or SelfMon module. Sorry for hijacking this post is there a known fix in 4.16? i have had this problem for ages in all types of sites, but only AFTER giving cousomers app acces. there was never a problem before when using it myself for service purpouses (app or frontshell). i was thinking it had something to do with the app or user disconnecting in a "bad way" or something. Unfortunatly here in sweden the support for Galaxy is so next to nonexsistant. GalaxyGuy
The realtime operating system has been reimplemented, bringing module CPU utilisation down by around 80%. The previous versions had various issues which would show up when exposing port 10001 and sending event reports. The latest 4.16 build version 2 doesn't suffer from the issues. It's advisable to use the latest or switch to the SelfMon module for classic, G2, G3, Dimension, and Flex V1.
