Hi all you guys really know your stuff....and I clearly don’t. I recently changed the battery on the remote for an Honeywell ADT (TCU3uk) since then the remote and the panel don’t conmunicate, all the panel lights have lit up and the alarm doesn’t work. the alarm isn’t monitored and is about 8 yrs old im comfortable with getting a local engineer around but ADT are quoting £170 for a visit and no promise of fixing it either would welcome your thoughts thanks

Hi all, The internal sounder for my Gardtec 595 started sounding at 11pm last night and whilst I could stop it by entering the code, within an hour it was sounding again. we haven’t used the alarm for some time as we discovered our cats could set it off. I’ve also discovered that the LCD screen has become unreadable since I last used the alarm. Now it’s Monday morning, I’m sleep deprived and am looking for advice. so far I’ve opened up the control panel and wall box. the large np3.4-12 battery in the wall box is only reading 10.8 v so I suspect that is the problem. Ordering one of this is fine, but the …

I'm a retired old guy from the physical security (Fire, Burglar, CCTV, Access Control, Etc.) industry. I started my career installing grade A burglar alarms with Diebold, in Atlanta, in 1970, then moved to Easter Idaho, where I serviced all Diebold equipment. I later worked for Mosler, then I was the director of the Protection Services department at Service Merchandise, then I was with LP at Dollar General. I finished my working life at Bass Security three years ago.

Just found all you guys by chance...didnt know the forum existed, how bad is that after years in the industry. Will certainly enjoy looking through threads... We are a small family company, NSI My mission, to find an alternative to Alarmaster, and Cash Mentor.

Hello, I haven't officially introduced here myself. I will put myself as a beginner in access-controls and security. I've done wiring for it and terminated boxes on the wall but not much experience in the guts of whole security systems, but I have got a general understanding of electronics and IT. My idea is to advance in security systems to be competent to be a tradesman. I found it complicated to get a good grasp on it just by myself and make up the problems to come up with the solutions to get that knowledge when you not in this role as a professional. Sure it's much possible to achieve asking questions here in the forum but. So I thought I shout here for someone a …

Hi all! Hope everyone are well during this time. I'm not newbie with alarms/CCTV but every day is a school day ? I found this forum while I'm sniffing around for a way to reset an Engineering code on Galaxy panel without a cold start. I know how to burn it down to the ground. But on this occasion I have to keep system settings ? Cheers
