Hello everybody, I'm not a "professional" installer but I installed by myself a Risco ProSys alarm because I love DIY and what I build, generically speaking, I know how to fix it! Subscribing here I hope not to have broken any rules (because I'm not a professional installer) and hope to get and share good advices! Thank You

I maybe after some basic info ie. setup stuff in the future as I'm trying to get my head around this new tech last time I fitted an alarm panel was almost 20years ago and was still working until the Pyronix went in.

  6. Started by Joe W,

Hi all, found this forum through googling obscure questions about intruder stuff and noticed this place usually comes up with better answers than anywhere else. Figured it'd be good to sign up and get involved with the community here! I'm from Devon and work for a fairly small company. Been at it only for a couple of years so basically still a stupid newbie, but one day I hope to just be stupid. Cheers! Joe

Hi, I am new to the industry but wanted to know a rough estimation of the number of CCTV installers in the UK. I know different areas of the country have far more than others. I would be grateful if anyone can point me in the right direction. Thanks

  11. Hello! My name is Daniel and I've recently started a corporate youtube channel. I'm quite sure the things that my company does can be done in a much more interesting way and that is why I'm in it. I really want to ask for your help and advice, opinion. The channel is here There are reviews regarding security technologies and surveillance systems, such as IP-cameras, network recorders, various alarms, burglar sensors and etc. As I'm new to all of this, I know there's a lot of things that I can improve. I've recieved reviews saying the videos I've done are boring and what do you think? I'm planning the feed widening with a DIY's and Howto's video topics…

  14. Hi, I have an installed Texecom Premier 24P system that needs to be fully reprogrammed. Where on this site can I find or ask for any installer who'd come to, or are in, London (Lancaster Gate, Paddington) to do the job? System is not large (two panels, 5 detectors, two outside bells, fire detectors, etc) so shouldn't be a big job. Just looking for phone numbers / contacts I can call to discuss and organise the job. 15. Started by Nathand,

I have been working in the industry for several years maintaining automatic gates, access control, CCTV and intruder. I have currently undergone SSAIB certification though, and it seems there is still a lot for me to learn as I move into doing more complex alarms and police response. Be prepared for lots of questions......first one.... I noticed 2 internal sounders side by side in an office on a grade three police response alarm, is there a specific reason for this? I looked in the regs but can't really find anything.
