Hi, I'm an Alarm Engineer of 7 years, I install and commission Intruder, CCTV, Door Access and Fire Alarms, I joined to ask a question on a Honeywell galaxy panel I was working on but figured it out shortly after, but I've seen quite a few informative things on here so I'm glad I joined, hopefully learn a few things on here too, there's always something new to learn so looking forward to that, I hope to answer other people questions as best I can as well.

I have been setting up wildlife cameras for seniors in housing complexes. My plan is to connect the elders with local and not so local school age kids, using animals as the common bond. I'll need help along the way, so I'm here!

Scantronic9800 full working order but the transformer makes an intermittent buzzing that is driving me mad at night. tried reseating & packing but little improvement. The metal alarm box/cover seems to amplify the noise too. any thoughts on a fix much appreciated

Helping individuals with common problems with replacement battery for Accenta Alarm System. To change the battery, unscrew the front panel. When removed the alarm will sound. Enter your 4 digit user code. Carefully remove the front panel & place on the floor, ensure the screw is safely placed. Remove the two terminals, black first, then red making sure the terminals do not touch & remove/replace the battery, red first, then black. Please note, the panel is live with 240V for the transformer, ensure no components or cable terminals are touched. Replace the alarm panel cover & screw. Reset the system by pressing X or reset but…

Hi, Ex telecoms engineer, been playing the Electronic Security game for 2½ years now. Managed to bag myself a copy of HONEYWELL GALAXY RSS software and today encountered an ex ADT site. We took over the alarm 18 months ago, but I'd never been to this site until today. I thought I'd take a backup...turns out there's a password stopping me connecting. Worryingly, after I went through the event log and saw, several weeks ago, a remote rss session doing a database save, I can only assume it was ADT accessing a site that they now no longer maintain. Is there anyway I can bypass/remove/change this password does anybody know? Thanks

Hi all I'd like to say hello. Been installing intruder systems for approx 3 years now. Some access control and fire testing as well. Came across this forum when trying to do a google search about the benefits of using PIRs with microwave technology built in, such as Texecom's dual techs. Hope to learn and share experiences!
