I have no idea what I ahve done to my system, while I was setting the system up I managed to lock ext 21 and disable ext 20. Both ext. have feature phones. Ext 21 phone will only go to handsfree don't matter what button I press. Ext 20 tells me programe refused when I try to access the system, not only that if I call Ext 21 it tells me that I am calling from the line I am using, and if I dial 0 it tells me it is invaled. The other problem and its nothing to do with the above, because this has done it from when I first installed it 3 days ago. if I press line 1, 2, or 3, I get a dial tone but after I hang up I can't get a dial tone at all, I have to switch off the syste…

Hi, I am looking after an LG GDK34i phone system for a client of mine and have somehow managed to disable the last number redial function. The button on the handset now does nothing at all. Does anyone have any idea on how to do this? Also I am looking for a copy of the admin software which utilises the RS232 port on the system. Having that would make my life a whole lot easier!!! Thanks in advance Tim

Has anyone else encountered the same problem as this? When a system speed dial number is stored with line access code (9) and an associated name is stored, the display of the 7633 only shows the CLI. On the old KXTD you used to have to insert a hyphen between the line access number and the speed dial for the system to read the number correctly and disregard the 9. However a hyphen cannot be used on the kxtda15. The only way I can get it to display both name and number is if I store the phone no. in brackets. This of course makes the number 'private' so when you dial the ssd, nothing is displayed on the screen. Before anyone asks, extension programming is set to display n…

Hi everyone I'm looking for a database viewer for LG (LGIC) GDK 16/20a/20w. Does anyone know where from I can download it? I have Admin Pro software which is the offline admin for this system but it gives Microsoft error and terminate the programme as soon as we tried to open a file. I'm looking for an alternative way to view this database we have. Our supplier suggests to upload it to another GDK 20 and view from that. It's not really ideal solution, is it? Please help and let me know. Thanks S.

I was servicing an alarm the other day and it happened to be right next to the panasonic switch for the building. I remember thinking - my god that looks really nice - someone had made a really good job of the install and I was poking around in the big grey box which houses all the connection points for the extensions etc. Does anyone have any photos of installs they've done or would anyone mind telling me how most telecomms engineers go about installing these small systems, ie do most use the supplied cables with the switch and take these to the connection box and then run the extensions to there etc etc. Also, do you have to earth the switch and how would you go …

I have fitted several PBX's to analogue lines, and if interested in ISDN. I have a few questions. How many numbers come as standard with an ISDN line? If you had 3 2ch ISDN lines, would that give 3 numbers? Can DDI numbers be programmed to individual extensions and to departments? If converting from an analouge system to ISDN, how can all the numbers be brought over? ie. 3 huntgroups on analouge. What is MSN, and how is this different to DDI? Is ISDN30 always brought in on fibre? Any info or links would be great

Can anyone please help... I need a new pbx, 2 lines (1 ntl, 1 bt) and up to 6 extensions. Using standard phones Preferably with a fax detect facility Preferably with a night function so I can tell it not to ring the extensions after 17.00! Can anyone recomend one for me? I'm ok with programming most stuff and installation shouldnt be too bad as is already wired for pbx as I had a BT Ultimate [****] 106 that got spiked! James

I don't know if anyone will be able to help me but I am looking for some information to help me go about adding a few more extensions to my BT Inspiration system. I haven't had any luck with BT since they claim the product to now be obsolete. I appreciate any help you can give me, Thanks James Bryan

Tried searching here, but GDK is not a word this BBS will look for. The circuit boards are all labelled GDK 162 and I think all the above systems share the same backplane and card cage. I have seen reference to a GDK 70 to 186 upgrade kit which I guess is a new or extension cabinet. I plan to plug in a display 'phone to the first digital extension port and one CO line for testing. I think I've figured out most of the physical wiring with help from the 'net but the next thing I need is programming information, what the 8 dip switches on the system board do and if I can use the RS232 port there for programming? Is there anything available on the web? -- John Cooper
