PBX Switches

Hello, This looks like a great forum for advice. I have a BT Inspiration system with a Netlink 30 for Door Entry, I have the audio set up fine. Not sure about the Door Strike, I have a relay which is powered by transformer. Do I feed the - back to the DS connection and + through the relay back to the DS connection?? Is this correct. Any help greatly appreciated.

Howdy I am looking to a system install with our BT Versatility, with 2 ISDN, and 2H voicemail. I was looking f,or if anybody had the pinouts for the RS232 cable, or any software tools to help assist in programming it. failing that - a vendor for the cable would be cool. Thanks, Daniel

hi all Ive got a problem with a bt revelation,I think its a mk1 and its 4+12 its got just 1 incoming line and about 9 exts connected to it the problem is that when an outside call comes in only extensions 20-25 ring and not any of the others (exts 26-31)which are on the add on cards. Has it lost its programming?(power has been off) any help would be apprieciated thanks matthew

Hi Guys I have been asked to provide a premicell on to a BT Versitility system, it currently has isdn2 ( 4 channels) and appears to have pstn connections but I have no idea how to programme it, any idea's?

Good Afternoon Peeps I have a BT Revelation Telephone system just noticed a problem with it when people ring it rings a few seconds then it picks up leaving a dead tone then when people ring back it the line is engaged for sometime when we try to access the line via line key or pressing 9 it just gives us a dead tone no dial tone then a few min later after requesting the line it comes back any thoughts line 2 is ok

Hi All, We have a BT Pathway installed and never had any problems with it. We have 2 analogue lines installed (Line 1 & Line 2) and 6 extensions. (I think the machine we bought allows up to 4 external lines.) Following on from some severe lightening in the area last week, we have lost the ability to use lines 1 and 2. By rewiring the analogue lines, I see that I can use line 3 but not line 4. So out of 4 possible analogue line positions, I am only able to get an outside line using line 3. Someone said there was a slight smell of burning just after the lightening. Do you think the system is fried? Anything I can do to get two lines working again? I do have an…

Hi All, anyone out there with experience of the Mitel SX2000 know if its possible to have multiple phones ring when one number dialed BUT each phone that is rung can take part in the call like a conference? I know I can add phones to a Call Group so they all ring when a number is dialed, but in this case as soon as one phone in the group answers, all the others stop ringing (which is fine) but the other phones can no longer take part in the call. Im reaosnably au-fait with the sx2000 but never had to do this before. Current solution is about 4 phones connected in parralel to one plid/number but this plays havoc with audio levels especially if alarms are ringing round t…

Hi Everyone, We have a BT Inspiration system, Everything is fine apart from one thing. The system has a voicemail card fitted. The volume level is very low both on playback & for the caller (Both Voicemail & Answering System) Are there any options to increase the volume levels? Hello All, I have installed a BT Inspiration system, which is working fine apart from a delay when you finish a using an external line. When you hang up the "Line 1" light stays illuminated on each system phone for around 12 seconds, if you try and make another call in this time it says "line busy". Is there any line timeout settings that can be modified, I reset the whole system to defaults when installing it. Thanks in advance John

Hi , Could anybody give me any advice how to set up speed dial numbers on my bt inspiration pbx that i have set up around my home ?. If you dial a speed no. ie 7001 from a systemphone the call is connected straight away as you would expect, but if you dial say 7001 on a standard POTS TOUCHTONE phone there is a long delay before the system connects to the external call & quite often the called no. has answered before you can speak to them. This does not happen if you dial a speed no. ( 7001 ) from a POTS loop disconnect telephone. I would be very grateful of any advice as this is a frustrating problem. many thanks. Steve F.
