PBX Switches

Hello, please help, I bought a second user BT Inspiration PBX to replace our existing one but when I connected it to all extensions and our 4 analogue lines, everything seems normall except outgoing lines are all busy and you cannot call in either. As soon as I press for a free line, "line busy" shows on the screen. Can anyone shed a light to this please? The new PBX has ISDN card inside where our existing one does not, could this be the problem? my grateful thanks in anticipation.

Hi, Can anyone please tell me if it's possible to do this: We have a BT Versatility system with auto attendant, when the greeting is played there is a long pause then you hear a tone similar to an engaged tone - i've since been told it's the ring tone... lol Is it possible to change this to external music on hold? I have it installed already but only plays when we answer calls and place them on hold, not after the auto attendant message... please help...

Hi all, I recently purchased a used bt inspiration to fit at home with a view to seperating home & business calls using the auto call routing function. however on configuring the system all I have been getting is 'line busy' having opened up the system I noticed it is equipped with an isdn upgrade card, two isdn expansion cards and a 2+6 expansion card Am I right in assuming that the line busy status is because it is looking for an isdn line out and if I want to use it with my current pstn line I will need to purchase a pstn expansion card? Hi I have a GDK-16 phone system, it used to have a on hold message which was played when someone was placed on hold, this was connected internally via CN22 Terminal Block marked MOH. We have since removed this device and now wish to go back to just the beeps or some form of noise rather than nothing. I thought once this was removed it would just reset itself? is it simple to reset? Any ideas as complete novice

Hi Can anyone help me with my BT Inspiration system please? I have moved the programing extension from 20 to 24 and for some reason this extension has developed a fault and I can no longer access the programing. Is there a way that I can reset the system so that the programing revert to extension 20? The faulty extension(24) works with a normal phone but not with a system phone. No data shows, only the word Inspiration. Thanks

BT Versatility, ISDN line 2Ch phone and FAX I am trying to route the fax access DDI to the Fax extension. The programming requires the MSN index number. (XXX 001-100) followed by the MSN/DDI number XXXXXXXXX how do I know what the index number is?

Hi all New to this and want some advice on which is the best premicell to use with an ISDN equipped BT Versatility? I have 1 ISDN line connected and have a spare ISDN card in the CCU. I want to route all mobile calls through the premicell. Thanks for the help in advance, Trevor

Hi All, I recently purchased a BT Versatility (secondhand). I installed it no problems and its connected to ISDN. Sometimes when you dial 9 from any of the phones (or from the feature phone hit line1 or line2) it doesn't give an outside line. It could take a couple of attempts before it will give an external line. This happens when there are no other calls on the system. On the feature phone it says busy. This busy tone is a bit louder than the normal internal ring tone. Any help appreciated and great site by the way. Trevor

I bought and installed the GDK-16. I had a couple of phones with it but wanted another so found a LG LKD30LD. However all that comes on the display is LKD LLCD V1.4. Once the calendar did come up but no line came be chosen or anything. Is the unit fried or not suitable for the GDK-16. TIA

Does anyone know whether, on the BT Inspiration, it is possible to configure an extension so that it is available through a unique DDI, as well as the main office DDI, but with it always sending its CLI as the main office number?

Just bought a secondhand Inspiration system on Ebay (although the seller was local to me). It has two PSTN cards fitted giving a total of four lines. I have tested the system (having reset the everything to the default settings) and cannot get the extensions to obtain either Line1 or Line2 on the system. The extensions report that the line is busy. Lines 3 and 4 are fine. I have swapped around the two PSTN cards and the situation remains the same. Is there something I am missing? Regards

hello I shifted a BT inspiration, but need to alter some programming steps, the code has been changed from 1111 and need to reset this can anybody tell me how to default the system so that i can start from scratch. frankie
