Not sure if this is allowed on this site.... How much, roughly, to install a Panasonic 206e (readily available to even DIY'ers I beleive), with 4 extensions. 3 system phones, bottom of range, and 1 with display. Cables where already installed (I put them in, but had connected them all to PSTN ready for a PBX). I didn't get the job to install the PBX as I was too busy, but was shocked at the price I saw on the invoice from the other company!! I have just attended the site to connect a second line, as BT couldn't install the second line until after the other company had left.

Anyone know of a good website for programming guides. I am an electrician, but have begun to maintain some systems. I could do with a manual for a Panasonic 206 and a Rhapsody 1648....Thats just for starters )

Hi, Does anyone know how to stop the external line capture from scrolling through the 4 lines? I have a BT Inspiration with 2 external lines and 7 extensions (with a 1st 006 card installed). Just moved the ccu and reset it, and now when I press the '9 for outside line' it scrolls through the 4 outside lines (even though I only have 2 in use) - this can be seen from the system phone line lights momentarily lighting up every time I press 9 and then hang up and then try again. When it gets to Line 1 I get a dial tone, all the other times a busy tone. I've allocated group 2 and 3 to Line 1 and 2 respectively: thus I can now always get a dial tone on Line 1 by dialling 8…

I've just taken over maintenance of several offices. Fire, intruder, data, IT, PAT testing, anything else. All fine. Hit a slight snag on the phones, they had a mixture of Meridians and Panasonics in a while ago which I thought was fine. For some reason someone has come in and replaced them all with NEC DXE32s. Is this a step backwards? I've never done anything with the NEC kit before.

Hi everyone, I am setting up Asterisk Boxes for a living and have been active as a Security Installer for a few years, the connection between the two opens up for some pretty amzing possibilities in the security field. You guys probably heard of the VoIP rush the latest year, well Asterisk is a Open Source alternative to the $10K boxes from Cisco etc and works really really well Anyways to the point; I am expanding on the AlarmReceiver component thats available in the * box. It currently support SIA Level 0 (DTMF) ADEMCO Contact ID protocol. To be able to expand this software I need Standards documents over all the protocols you guys are using, including the SIA I,I…
