Hi, I have read here that there are problems with the Optima Plus2 and that others think it is ok. I have had my 8 zone system since 1993 and it has been fine. Well that is until now when one of the remote keypads is wearing out and it is getting difficult to un set the alarm at times. I have had a quick look for replacement keypads on the net but not seen any so far. I am now wondering if it is time to upgrade the system. I don't want to rewire so will need something that will use existing wires. I also have a Tower Access system (Wintacs) which I would like to tie in to the alarm so that when a door is opened using a card it will unset the alarm. I am assuming that any…

Please help, would like to change the code on our alarm, it is a Vertias alarm, think the VR8 plus but am unsure. Does anyone know how to do it please?? would be very grateful.

Hello, I bought a house a month ago and the previous owners don't have the code. Not a problem I thought as just added it to my list of things to get round too. Came home last night and the alarm box light outside the house was flashing. After searching for the control unit I found it and it was showing the TAMPER light illuminated. As I don't know the code what should I do. Is there any engineer's code I can enter to override and reset or should I call out the experts? Rhys

I've just moved into a house in NE London with an Accenta G3 system. The previous residents never used it and don't know who installed it. I'm interested in having it serviced/maintained and have tried a few local companies but the don't work with Accenta. Is there anywhere else I can look? Preferably I'd like a NACOSS registered company as that's what my insurers ask for. Thanks.

Hi all, I installed my ADE Karizma alarm about 10 years ago and then about two days ago we had a power cut for about 5 minutes and since then the alarm system is dead. The Alarm went off for a few seconds then stopped - I guess this is probably because the NiCad in the bell box needs replacing (I did set it to ring for upto 15 mntues). Anyway, there is nothing being displayed on the keypad and the power is reaching it, the 13V was OK. I checked the main panel and the 13V is OK too but this drops to about 6V when I remove the AC (again battery probably needs to be replaced). Hi All To cut a long story short have had to replact the main PCB in the panel due to a fault but have no installation instruction. So if any one has the installation manual of an XM6 it would make my day. Thnaks

Can anyone help. Don't have a manual for my Optima XM6. Tried setting it this morning and one of the Zones suggested there was something triggering the sensor. I don't know which zone is which as the house is rented. Any ideas on what might be wrong as I've cleared everything from all sensors paths. Please help - I'm a musician and know nothing about anything technical! Jaz

Hi, It looks like you chaps get lots of questions about these systems but I was hoping you could help me out. I have just moved to a new house which had an accenta 8 alarm fitted when new. I havent accually set it yet as it appears to have a fault. There is a random beep/chirp etc from the box mounted on the wall outside. No pattern to the freqency of the beeps, sometimes goes all day then dissapears for a few days. I have a large white box with a red power led(lit) and no buttons fitted to the airing cuboard. Ive just completed installing my Karizma plus system, and have just one small problem Im not sure how to cable up the strobe in the bellbox. The Odyssey has only 1 terminal for "Negative applied output to activate strobe" whereas the Karizma plus CPU has two terminals for the strobe which are 12 volt. I tried to connect to the negative output on the control panel but the strobe is on permanently. I would be grateful for any advice !!

Hi as soon as i open my front door the alarm sounds i have no time to get in to the house to enter code can this time delay be changed and how please help!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I have recently moved into a house with an accenta alarm. The alarm went off while it was supposed to be disarmed. We entered the code, it eventually turned itself off, but ever since then it has been beeping (twice every few minutes..) I have tried entering code again but it wont even arm itself... Is there a combination of buttons I can press to stop it from doing this??.. Please help as is getting to be annoying!!.. (the people that installed it have gone out of business..)It is the TSRKP model
