Texacom Odyssey wiring strobe to Karizma Plus

Featured Replies

Ive just completed installing my Karizma plus system, and have just one small problem

Im not sure how to cable up the strobe in the bellbox.

The Odyssey has only 1 terminal for "Negative applied output to activate strobe" whereas the Karizma plus CPU has two terminals for the strobe which are 12 volt.

I tried to connect to the negative output on the control panel but the strobe is on permanently. I would be grateful for any advice !!

Connect S on the oddysey to strobe negative on your panel.

Thanks for taking the time to reply, much appreciated.. Im sure I tried the config you suggested during my attempts to get it working but I'll give it another go.

Double check your wiring to make sure you have'nt over looked something. If everything seems OK, and the panel is reset and in DAY mode, you could try using one of the programmable outputs instead of the strobe output to fire the strobe light. Just wire the strobe trigger to an output and programme the output to "Alarm Follow". This should work providing the outputs are switched negative and not switched positive.
