Optima Plus2 card access

Featured Replies

Hi, I have read here that there are problems with the Optima Plus2 and that others think it is ok. I have had my 8 zone system since 1993 and it has been fine. Well that is until now when one of the remote keypads is wearing out and it is getting difficult to un set the alarm at times.

I have had a quick look for replacement keypads on the net but not seen any so far. I am now wondering if it is time to upgrade the system. I don't want to rewire so will need something that will use existing wires. I also have a Tower Access system (Wintacs) which I would like to tie in to the alarm so that when a door is opened using a card it will unset the alarm. I am assuming that anything using a 2 wire key switch may do this.

Your recommendations gratefully accepted.

Ron

There is a place that still sells obsolete ADE stock , including the 2plus remote keypads  .But it might be time to upgrade..have a look at texecom

Regards.

:) Just what I was hoping for, thanks.

I have looked at the Premier 816 which at first sight seems to do everything I need as well as PC programming which I forgot to mention earlier. The only thing I am sure of is what is the difference between the Pemier 24 and the Premier 816?

cheers

Ron
