Ive been into this for some time now, back when I was an engineer my G500 was controlling my heating, curtains, lights, and, various other bits via Galaxy Gold. When I moved to this house I wanted something more purposely built rather than something I had strung together, so I nailed my flags to Lightwave RF good looking product nice sockets and light switch's and rad valves. Hi all, I have been living in my new house since feb this year and have so far been able to put up with a zone 06 tamper which seems to occur at least once a week and once re-set it doesn’t occur again for a little while. But I am now sat writing this after it has alarmed with a zone 06 tamper for the 7th time tonight. I have already come to terms with the fact there is most likely a short in the circuit somewhere (probably somewhere I cannot access), so I am left wondering if I am able to permanently disable this zone on the alarm panel? Ideally I would like for the alarm to work and function, even if it meant without one of the zones working. …

I had an issue today with the alarm sounding when not set. The panel said tamper and a zone number. This relates to the pir on the stairs. I entered the user code which cleared it but then when motion was detected the tamper alarm sounded again. It has now settled but I am worried this could trigger again. Does this sound like a faulty pir? Or should I check anything else first. I have asked a few local companies for prices but thought I would check if this was a common fault. The pir is labelled Saturn also any recommendations for a replacement sensor if this is required. Thanks Mark

Hi, With my installer we tried doing a zone but it doesn't really work as i want it to. I have a Full Set/Night Set/Outhouse & Garage (new) When i am out of the house i usually set Full Set on. We recently added Garage, so that i can arm/disarm the garage separately from the other zones. Which i can do and it works as it should. However, as the Garage is also part of the Night Set, so when i am at home and for example i am upstairs and i un-arm Garage, it still sets off the alarm. But i also like the fact that when i arm Night Set on the app, it automatically sets the garage on too as its in the same zone. …

I have a Scantronic 9448 alarm system, it looks very old and was in the house when I bought it last year. Recently the internal alarm has been going off and the tamper light coming on. I have read that this could be a battery problem but when I open the box there is no battery. Can I just disconnect the power to stop the alarm going off randomly u til I get a new system put in?

Hello guys, I have a faulty heat detector in a 5839 HMO system (a mix of about 12 heat/smoke/call points) I've take the head off and "silenced" the fault buzzer in the downstairs panel, that comes on when a head is removed. My question is - does the rest of the system remain active while the faulty head is off, until I can get a new one on Monday? Thanks.

Hi, guys! I need your advice on providing a security service. It seems that the criminal level will grow soon due to the pandemic. My friends' house was robbed last month. By the way, they had a security system. The robbers just unblocked it and came in. Now I am a little worried about mine. We do not work from home now, but my daughter has remote classes, so she is always at home. I am looking for a reliable system to protect our house. I saw some good reviews about TSI. Does anyone use that. I know that they have a simple controlling system through an app and their system cannot be unblocked anyway. Waiting for your recommendations!

Hi folks, have a pyronix installed in the house. 1 Wireless MC front door. 5 wireless shock MC. 2 wireless motion sensor Control panel is in the kitchen with a motion sensor. The other motion sensor is in the hallway. I'd like to have all the windows and doors armed but be able to walk around the house freely on area B What settings should the two motion be programmed at to allow me to do this. Thank you

I just bought my system from the Swedish security company Securitas G4S, and moved it from my old shop to install it at home. We have an HKC alarm system with a SW-1070 panel, which allows you to hold the 'Rec/yes' button to record a short voice memo message for the next user, which you can also listen to via the 'Play/quit' button. Having done so though, how do you fully delete it after it has been used? Sorry if this is a silly question but I just can't work it out - and Google and the HKC website and manuals have been no help. Thanks. Andre
