I appear to have started something - "I know Nothing" As far as neon screwdrivers are concerned, I'm still using a lamp in a B.C. lampholder when did they bring out the neon screwdrivers? Regards Jack the Grumpy Old Jurassic Spark.

Hi Datadiffusion, replacement keypad went in like dream no problems to report (so far) just waiting for the tenants reaction. Many thanks for your comments on Cooper/Eaton I had not found them very helpful at the time of purchasing the keypad. Regards Jack

Thanks datadiffusion for the info, so the Eaton keypad as virtually the same company should be good for go! I carry out maintenance in number of properties in the Surrey area and have made arrangements to install this keypad, this afternoon.

Just wanted introduce myself and say Hello, I'm a very old electrician. I completed my 5yr Apprenticeship in 1961 and have worked in the automation, oil & gas and domestic sides of the electrical contracting business which includes security installations. Thats me!

The original 9427 keypad has failed a number of the buttons not responding. Have purchased new Eaton keypad as coopers no longer supply this keypad. Has anybody had this experience and will this work?
