I have an Aritech CD95 with digi, two keypads (one still boxed) but it still has the initial code in it! Initial wouldnt come to site even though the customer agreed to pay the call out price! So we had to remove it although we had just bought the keypad ! Am willing to swap it for a Galaxy if anyone uses Aritech? Must admit looking through the brochure it is a very powerful control panel, wonder why Initial went over to Galaxy? Must admit we use Galaxy for all our big installs, just compleated a 60 zone system yesterday but why o why do they still require a solder link to bypass the unboxed RIO tamper? Rep is coming round today so i will give him another grilling…

As the title suggests really I would be intrested in trade membership as I'm an engineer (working with a NACOSS gold company) however I cant have some random people from a website ringing my employer up asking them questions etc. They are a good company but would probably not approve of their engineers using websites (they would probably wonder what I was up to lol) I'm sure I cant be the only one unwilling/unable to subject myself to a full security check to gain access to a website? PS I have asked this wuestion before but never got a solid answer??

Anybody interested in doing a survey on my office in Harrogate? Just moved in and as we act in the security industry I suppose we'd better be secure! There is an existing system in place, but think we could do with a camera on the front door and extra PIR's for starters. Ken G

Hi forum A few days a go a new customer emailed our sales dept and enquired prices for DVRs, Optical Smoke Detectors, Body Scanners & Colour dome vari focal cameras. Today we received an order for the Body Scanners & DVRs ( 4k ), we've got 3 credit card details and a name & address to deliver to East London. I don't want to look a gift horse in the mouth but I'm smelling a rat here. I remember reading a post here which ran on a bit about a scam but I have searched without finding it. Any advice would be appreciated. Regards Clive sorts

Apologies if this has been posted in the wrong section - I have recently had fitted a new PVC door in place of a wooden one. Of course, I !"skipped" the old door - along with the door sensors! What I would like to know please is:- a) Can these door sensors be bought (if so, where); B) How expensive are there; and c) Are they easy to fit I take it you can buy door sensors that can be attached to PVC doors without having to screw into the plastic as doing this would invalidate the 10 year guarantee on the door? I would be most grateful if someone could help me on this. Thanks. Regards David
