Hello I have an Accenta8 mini that was installed about 6 years ago and I recently started suffereing tamper alerts for no apparent reason. They were coming in once or twice a week. I started off checking the tamper switches on the various devices and ended up jumping the tamper circuits for keypads and external bell on the controller card. As far as I can tell, the only tamper circuit still intact is the switch on the control unit door. I also replaced the battery at the same time. It was fine for 2 weeks, but I had 2 alerts yesterday. Please, can anyone offer some advice as to anything else I can check? The only other option is to replace the controller (or board…

Hi, I dont know if anyone can help, ive just applied for a trade membership, once i filled the form in i pressed submit and the screen went blank for a sec and then the form came back blank, is this normal or should there be som kind of conformation, only asking cos i put in a form months ago and got no reply so im thinking they may not have gone through at all!! :'(

We have the fortunate task of having to maintain one of these systems. Recently the PSU blew up, and we are trying to replace some of the old nurse call stations with an updated version (from the same manufacturer). Trouble is the only man in the world who appeared to have any real knowledge of this system has retired and even the manufacturer is having difficulty locating any kind of wiring diagram for the system - obviously written on parchment ! Does anyone by chance have a schematic or manual of any description.... ?? And no C-Tec isn't compatible ! Thanks

I'm currently studying the C&G, in Alarms Installtion & Maintenance, and I'm looking for a trainee position within an installation company. Hi I undertstand that the display on the remote keypad panel for the ADE Captiv8-20 control panel displays "SYSTEM UNSET" for a few seconds, when the system is disarmed, before reverting back to displaying the Day, Date and Time. I also understand that when the system is armed, the display on the keypad displays "SYSTEM SET". Can anyone tell me, whether after a few seconds, the display changes from "SYSTEM SET" back to the Day, Date and Time ? Many thanks in advance.

hi,got a problem with an ancient norweb panel.dumped the mains power,alarm sounded outside,panel now has all lights showing but wont do anything even full factory reset,cheaper to replace panel????

I am sure I have been told that the RKP should not be visible from outside the protected premises - so that a would-be intruder can not see the status of the system before he breaks in. Is this a requirement under the Euro regs? Was it a requirement under BS4737?
