What a panel!!! I have just fitted one and i cannot say a bad word abot this product. We have the main panel fitted in the main office area with a second keypad for engineer only(as requested by the customer that is located at the panel). 8 main zones in the front area wired back to the panel while Lim 1 has 8 zones from the far away area and lim 2 has the Cafe area which has 7 zones. It is on BT Redcare and back up GSM. We are using Dualtech PIR's and a number of shocks and contacts. A nightmare to run cable but the scanny 8136 is a superb panel that you can add almost anything to. Before anyone starts telling me about alternative panels the customer wanted each of …

When we have a power cut the internal bell sounds for a while then goes silent which is not a problem. The problem is when power is restored the external bell rings. This is causing problems as I have a dog and am afraid to leave him alone in the house for any length of time in case this happens again, (twice in a month) he will eventually end up deaf! Does anyone know why the external bell rings as power is resumed? Is there a way I can avoid it? This happens even when the alarm is not activated as I hardly use the unit during the week. I hope someone can help Lorraine.

Please could you help me with my Accenta 8 Mini. I had a power cut and the key pad all jammed, so I replaced the battery, powered down and powered back up. All sirens sounded and I turned them off. The problem is that now the key pad has full power but the tamper light is on. The pad is jammed so I can't press reset or enter the code (which I could do after I had repowered). Thanks.

Hi all, I'm just wondering if anybody here is using Napco Gemini control panels? A new customer has ask us to maintain a number of his stores, problem is they all have these panels installed. We have no experience of them and I'm wondering if anyone here has engineer manuals or experience to pass on to me. I did try the Napco website and registered with them but it will take about a week before I can log on with them. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. I did apply for trade membership here but I didn't receive any feed back for the administrator. Regards Phil.

Hiya All! A customer of mine had a break in the other day and the intruders tried to destroy the panel, a Galaxy 60. Fortunately none of the internal components were damaged but the cover lid is dented pretty bad and looks rather bad. Does anyone know where I can get hold of a brand new (or used but in excellent condition) panel chassis? I will be moving the PSU, PCB and Redcare STU from the old chassis. Thanx! Richard

The SD2 has 2 auxiliary inputs the can be switched remotely, and hints that it can be used for home automation projects as an example. From memory, the SD2 provides a low voltage toggle as Output 1/2, has anyone on the team actually used this for anything useful, and how did you achieve it? (I just hate having a facility, then not using it!)
