Trade membership without probing?

Featured Replies

funny guy

who else could verify our position in the trade :hmm:

could we scan our company I.D Cards ?

Front and Back ?

and email it to one of the guys who screen our application ?

Not really acceptable.

We've discussed this a few times before but here goes again.

We all obviously understand the need to keep this security industry site, secure.

To vet employees.

We would hope that any employer in the security industry has carried out the neccesary vetting of the employee.

If we can verify that the employee currently currently works there and has applied with us, then that's our vetting done.

At the moment, the only other secure way that I can see for employees to join is to be nominated/vouched for by another trade member.

The reason ID cards are not acceptable is that many employees get to keep them when they leave and some are valid for years at a time. Therefore it doesn't prove you currently work there.

The only other option I can think of is copy of most recent payslip. I don't think many people would be willing to do it that way! I also don't know where we would stand being provided with such information.

If you can think of a secure alternative to prove current employment........let us know.

If you don't know......ask.
