Hi All, Just using the Tex EN calculator that I downloaded from the Tex webbie-and apparently a Premier 24+sounder+8 zone expander+RKP takes the current drawn over the max that the panel is able to supply!!!!!!!-that's without the 15 antimask PIR's etc that I need to run. Got in touch with Tex and after much explaining the bloke said "have you got the latest version" to which I replied "Think so I got it off your Installer section a while back and it's still the same one", "Nope there is a newer version that tells the truth!". To cut a long story short he told me to disregard what the old one said and he would send me the new one via mail-which he did-unfortunately the…

Exploding mobile phone kills man in China A man has died after his mobile phone exploded, bursting an artery in his neck, it has been reported. The shop worker from Guangzhou, China, died moments after he put a new battery in his phone, it has been claimed. It was believed that he may have just finished charging the battery and had put the phone in his breast pocket when it exploded. China's daily Shin Min Daily News said the accident happened on Friday, Jan 30, at 7.30pm. An employee at the shop told local media that she heard a loud bang and saw her colleague lying on the floor of the shop in a pool of blood. The employee said the victim had recently changed the …

Hi All, Been to look at a Gardtec 580 today-trying to help a mate out!-as you do. The LED display when unset is just rambling through all sorts of random cack-when a user code is entered it seems to be normal-as does when the engineer code is used. The manual (for what it's worth) mentions a resistor in the RKP-but don't say what value or across what terms!-good eh. At the mo it's just the onboard KP but we have tried it with a remote KP and nowt changes. I have tried a 680 ohm resistor-but again the manual isn't very explicit as to where. Gardtec aint my forte-but like us all we get used to the panels we tend to use. Any ideas people?. Richard.
